Abstract
Quilted fabric, in particular for the production of clothing, accessories and textile furnishings, characterized in that it is made from a fine and at the same time tear-resistant silk (1.), a close-knit woolen fabric (3.) and a batting made of wool + a thin layer of fleece (2. ) consists.
Description
Quilted fabrics of the usual production type consist of an upper material, a volume fleece as a lining material and a lower material. They are quilted together in various shapes and form a fabric that is used to manufacture clothing, accessories and textile furnishings.
So far, quilting fabrics have mainly been made of NOT natural materials, which are a major burden for the environment in production and disposal.
The invention specified in claims 1-6 is based on the problem of producing a quilted fabric that consists of the natural fibers wool and silk. The aim is to produce a light quilted fabric, to use the natural functions of wool and silk and to be able to use the fabric on both sides so that the wearer can use the natural functions of silk or wool as required. In addition, there is a requirement that the type of quilting creates the greatest possible volume and that the fabric retains its natural shine through the dyeing process and achieves an aesthetic effect.
- The invention is a quilted fabric in particular for the production of clothing, accessories and textile furnishings from 100% wool and 100% silk (
1 ). The upper material is a natural-colored pongee silk, which is between 35Gr / M. and 60Gr / M. weighs. The sub-material consists of natural-colored 100% merino wool and weighs between 135 grams per square meter. and 200Gr./M. The lining material is a natural-colored volume fleece made of 100% wool with a weight of 120 grams per square meter. (2 ). This volume fleece is combined with a thin fleece layer that is placed between the silk and the volume fleece in order to prevent the volume fleece from penetrating through the silk to the surface of the quilted fabric. The natural functions (3) that are combined by the combination of wool and silk are as follows: both fabrics can absorb up to a third of moisture before the material feels damp, the merino wool warms and the silk cools. Both materials are naturally breathable and have a regulating effect. Depending on whether you wear the silk or the wool on your skin, the quilted fabric has a warming or cooling effect (4). To create the volume achieved, a square quilted pattern with a side length of approx.2 .5cm has. In addition, the stitching is slightly curled so that the fabric has more space and stands up. The thread for the quilting seams is 100% cotton, NM 50 color natural (5). The quilted fabric is only dyed after the end product (clothing, accessories, textile furnishings) has been manufactured. Process: it is dyed by hand at about 60 degrees Celsius. A third of vinegar is added to the color liquid in order to maintain the natural shine of the silk. The wool takes on the color more intensely than the silk, creating aesthetically pleasing effects (6).
