Der Flugkörper ist dabei so gestaltet, so bemessen und so gewichtet, dass er manuell als Wurfgeschoss handhabbar ist. Der Flugkörper kann ein ganz oder teilweise mit Wasser oder anderem angefüllter Hohlkörper sein, der schwimmfähig oder absinkbar ausgebildet ist.
Der Flugkörper kann auch als Geschoss für einen mit Federkraft oder Gasdruck(Druckluft) betriebenen Schussapparat oder für ein Schleudergerät, wie beim Tontaubenabschussgerät, ausgebildet sein.
