Description

The invention relates to a device for the treatment of fascial and muscular structures according to the preamble of the protection claim 1. Although the success of these treatment methods has not been conclusively proven scientifically, reports from therapists and patients give reason to hope that especially unspecific back pain can be alleviated by fascial therapy. As a rule, it is important for the success of fascial therapy that specific pressure is exerted on certain points or areas of the body. For this purpose, different massage techniques and aids are known, with which targeted pressure is applied during a treatment to different locations on the body of the patient.

The aids or massage instruments known for carrying out correspondingly suitable fascial treatments are frequently used by physiotherapists, osteopaths or other medical professionals. In principle, however, such instruments can also be used by the patient for self-treatment. In this context, it is obvious that the self-treatment with appropriate instruments, the treatment options are limited because the freedom of movement of the patient is limited. Thus, it is often difficult to reach the body parts to be treated, especially in the treatment of back problems. For this reason, treatment instruments for self-treatment are known, which can be placed in the room or fixed to the wall or on the ground. In particular, medical aids for self-treatment of so-called trigger points or trigger bands, in particular Faszienrollen or balls in different dimensions are known, with at least partially a partial pressure build-up with such instruments.

The problem with the known devices and instruments for treating muscles and / or fascial structures is that self-treatment is difficult to carry out. For example, in self-treatment of trigger tapes, it poses a problem that the range of movement of the patient who wishes to treat himself is limited. Likewise, the friction on the skin often can not be generated sufficiently in the respective required places. In this context, it can be problematic that neither the necessary force nor the necessary control of the device for a precise treatment can be realized. In addition, the known instruments for self-treatment, which are stationary fixed in one place take a relatively large amount of space and are not flexible in many cases.

Based on the known from the prior art technical solutions and the problems described above, the invention is based on the object, a device for the treatment of muscular and fascial structures such that a suitable treatment of a patient by both a practitioner and the Patients themselves can be performed. The specified massage instrument should be flexible and mobile so that it can be easily transported and used in different places. In particular, no fixed installation should be required when fixing the massage instrument. Furthermore, a comparatively simple and cost-effective production of the specified instrument should be ensured.

The above object is achieved with a device for the treatment of muscular and fascial structures according to claim 1. According to the invention, a device for the treatment of fascial and muscular structures has a massage instrument with at least one massage head and an adapter with a fastening region for the detachable fastening of the adapter on a flat surface. Another advantage of the device according to the invention is that the massage instrument can also be used without an adapter. In a particular embodiment of the invention, the massage instrument has at least two massage heads or rounded tips, which at least in some areas have a spherical surface contour. Advantageously, the at least two massage heads or rounded tips with a spherical surface contour have different radii of curvature, so that pressure can be applied to the sites to be treated in different ways. Preferably, it is thus provided that the massage instrument has a first and at least one second massage head, wherein the spherical surface contour of the first massage head has a smaller radius of curvature than the spherical surface contour of the second massage head. In this context, the massage heads are preferably dimensioned in such a way that different trigger points can be treated in the body in a suitable manner and the pressure applied to the body sites during the treatment can be selectively varied. It is essential that the advantages are achieved due to the appropriate dimensioning of the massage heads both in the operation of the massage instrument by a practitioner as well as in the self-treatment by the patient.

A suitable choice of material and targeted dimensioning of the massage instrument advantageously ensures the stability required for professional use.
