Usually drinking straws or drinking tubes, which represent an enlarged form of drinking straws, are made of plastic. Such plastic straws are kept ready, for example, in restaurants in stands. After a single use, they are thrown away. Then they have to be disposed of. With the use of plastic straws thus go along with two problems, namely on the one hand, a finite starting product is used for the production, namely natural gas or petroleum, on the other hand, the disadvantage is that when disposed of in a landfill such drinking straws do not rot substantially.

The object of the present invention is therefore to remedy this situation and in particular to provide drinking straws or drinking tubes which on the one hand are biodegradable, and on the other hand can also be produced from renewable raw materials.
