Die Bauhöhe bleibt im Gegensatz zu Rahmenmodulen sehr gering. Die Verwendung herkömmlicher Rahmenmodule im mobilen Bereich, wie zum Beispiel auf den Dächern von Reisemobilen, führt zu dem Problem, dass Vibrationen an der frei im Rahmen aufgehängten Glasscheibe entstehen, die zu Schäden der empfindlichen Siliziumschichten führt, die in Verbindung mit den Scheiben stehen.
