Es sind bereits verschiedenste Verpackungen zum Lösen dieser Aufgabenstellung bekannt. So gibt es Lösungen wie Deckel- und Boden-Kombinationen oder Verpackungen mit Perforationen, die aus einer Transportverpackung in Sekundenschnelle eine regalfähige Trayvariante machen. Da mit dem Einsatz einer Perforation nur ein weniger attraktives, unsauberes Facing für den Einsatz im Regal erreicht werden kann, bietet sich für anspruchsvollere Kunden lediglich eine Deckel-Boden-Kombination an. Diese wird aber entweder als Handversion oder als Maschinenversion für klassische Aufrichter von Verpackungen- auf Maschinen, die speziell für das Aufrichten und Verschließen von einteiligen Wrap Around Verpackungen eingesetzt werden, angeboten. Es war bisher nicht möglich, eine bereits vorverklebte Deckel- und Boden-Kombination auf einem Wrap-Around Aufrichter zu verarbeiten.
