Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, eine Antriebsvorrichtung für Gewindekerne von Druckgussformen und dergleichen zu schaffen, bei der ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit gewährleistet und ein Eingriff in die Zahnräder ausgeschlossen ist, und bei der ein Austausch des Gewindekernhalters bzw. Die Erfindung weist den Vorteil auf, dass durch eine bauliche Veränderung, nämlich ein gekapseltes Getriebe, das Gefahrenpotential reduziert wird, das Getriebe gegen äußere Umwelteinflüsse geschützt ist und das damit verbundene Unfallrisiko minimiert wird. Durch diese Bauform ergibt sich zusätzlich der Vorteil, dass der Gewindekernhalter komplett durch das Leitgewinde und das Getriebe hindurch gefahren werden kann und somit komplett entnommen werden kann. Es wird ein höherer Komfort für die Bediener und Anwender erreicht, der sich durch ein Schnellwechselverfahren des Kernhalters und das damit verbundene schnelle Wechseln des Gewindekernes auszeichnet. Es kann keine Beschädigung an oder durch die Zahnräder geschehen, und die Fertigung und der Umgang mit der Einheit ist bedeutend einfacher, da der Kernhalter komplett durch die Einheit hindurch gefahren werden kann und somit der Gewindekern extern der Einheit eingebaut werden kann.
