Diese Temperierelemente sind mit Latentwärme- oder -kältespeichern mit unterschiedlichen Schmelzpunkten gefüllt, z. B. Temperierelemente außen mit einem Latentwärme- oder -kältespeicher mit niedrigerem Schmelzpunkt, Temperierelemente innen mit einem Latentwärme- oder -kältespeicher mit höherem Schmelzpunkt. Je nach Anwendung könnten die Temperierelemente mit dem Latentwärme- oder -kältespeicher mit niedrigerem Schmelzpunkt auch innen platziert werden, vorzugsweise werden die Temperierelemente jedoch immer gleich, nämlich unabhängig von den Temperaturverhältnissen außerhalb der erfindungsgemäßen Kühlbox gepackt, d. h. außen z. B. ein mit Eis gefüllter Latentwärme- oder -kältespeicher und innen ein z. B. mit Paraffin, Hydrocarbon gefüllter Latentwärme- oder -kältespeicher. Die erfindungsgemäße Kühlbox kann mit einem Deckel zum Verschluss des Innenraums versehen sein. Die Erfindung ergibt mit ihrer Anordnung von Temperierelementen, dass bei erhöhten Außentemperaturen in der Kühlbox enthaltenes biologisches Material, z. B. Pferdesamen, länger auf einer gewünschten Temperatur gehalten werden können, weil durch Kontakt/Luftkontakt des biologischen Materials mit den beidseits angeordneten inneren Temperierelementen die Kavitäten sehr gut auf der Temperatur der inneren Temperierelemente gehalten werden. Die inneren Temperierelemente schützen das biologische Material in den Kavitäten vor den evtl. schädlichen Temperaturen der äußeren Temperierelemente, auch wenn das äußere Temperierelement z. B. kälter ist als das innere Temperierelement. Die erfindungsgemäße Kühlbox kann bei geeigneter Auswahl der Temperierelemente und geeigneter Vorbereitung der Temperierelemente bei allen klimatischen Bedingungen Mitteleuropas über das ganze Jahr stabile Temperaturen von z. B. 2 bis 8°C für biologisches Material in den Kavitäten des Innenraums gewährleisten.
