Abstract

A U-shaped clamp (6) with two long limbs (6a,6b) and a basic limb (6c) is used. A fixed insert (7) seals the clamp on its open side and insulation piercing contacts form the contact with the ribbon cable (2). A pressure element (9) for seating all the conductors of the cable in common into the insulation piercing contacts is carried between the two long limbs of the U-shaped clamp and grips the ribbon cable over its total width. Claims (9)

1. Steckeranschluß für Flachbandkabel (2) mit mehreren nebeneinander angeord­ neten Einzelleitern (3a bis 3d), welche von wenigstens einer Isolierung (4) und/oder einem Mantel (5) umgeben und zu dem Flachbandkabel (2) zusam­ mengefaßt sind, mit folgenden Merkmalen:
  • a) einem U-förmigen Bügel (6) mit zwei Längsschenkeln (6a, 6b) und einem Grundschenkel (6c),
  • b) einem den Bügel (6) an seiner offenen Seite abschließenden, relativ zum Bü­ gel (6) unverschieblichen Einsatzstück (7) mit isolationsdurchdringenden Kontakten (8) zur Kontaktierung des Flachbandkabels (2),
  • c) einem zwischen den beiden Längsschenkeln (6a, 6b) des U-förmigen Bügels (6) geführten, das Flachbandkabel (2) auf seiner gesamten Breite übergrei­ fenden Drückelement (9) zum gemeinsamen Eindrücken aller Leiter (3) des Flachbandkabels (2) in die isolationsdurchdringenden Kontakte (8), und
  • d) einer Schraubbetätigung für das Drückelement (9).
