The innovation concerns a refrigeration unit consisting of a housing with a condenser arranged at the rear.
Such refrigeration units are well known and in use. The condenser, which is usually designed as a more or less flat heat exchanger in such refrigeration units, takes up most of the rear wall of the housing, held in a suitable manner and at a corresponding distance, which, depending on the type (refrigerator or freezer), is provided with a closing door or a closing lid that opens to the front or upwards. Since the condenser arranged on the rear wall of the refrigeration unit must not be damaged and a sufficient distance must be maintained from the wall on which the refrigeration unit is mounted, such refrigeration units are usually arranged above the condenser and on the same level as the surface of the housing, through which warm air rising from the condenser due to convection can flow away. Since the warm air flowing up from the condenser always and inevitably carries dust particles with it, it is unavoidable that unsightly dirt deposits will form on the wall and in the ceiling area above the housing over time.
The innovation is therefore based on the task of creating a refrigeration unit that prevents such unsightly dirt deposits on the installation wall and the ceiling above the refrigeration unit housing without impairing the convection flow.
This object is achieved with a refrigeration unit of the type mentioned at the outset according to the innovation by the features stated in the characterising part of the main claim. Advantageous further developments arise from the subclaims.
This design of the refrigeration unit and the hood arrangement, which also covers the arrangement area of the condenser when viewed upwards, diverts the rising convection current, which means that the convection current cannot flow directly along the installation wall and the dirt particles are caught and precipitated by the particle trapping coating arranged in the hood, particularly in the area of the deflection. A coarse-structured, open-cell plastic mat is particularly suitable as a particle trapping coating, which is preferably arranged in a replaceable manner on the inner cover surface of the hood.
The hood can be an integral part of the housing, but the hood is preferably designed as an element that can be attached separately to the housing.
Furthermore, following the flow tendency of the convection current, at least the inner covering surface of the hood with the covering is designed to rise towards the open front of the hood, although it is entirely possible to design the outer covering surface of the hood to run in a horizontal plane so that it can still be used for placing or placing down any objects.
Preferably, the particle trapping coating is arranged in a curve from the inner cover surface of the hood into the inner rear wall surface of the hood in order to keep the coating surface over which the convection flow flows as large as possible. In this respect, it is also advantageous to design the rear wall of the hood to extend at least to the upper edge of the condenser and to equip it with the particle trapping coating. It is also possible to provide this extended rear wall with side flank walls so that together with the housing a convection shaft is formed which is closed off to the outside and in which the condenser is arranged. This also has the advantage that the condenser cannot be damaged.
The new type of refrigeration cabinet is explained in more detail below using a drawing of an example of implementation.
Es zeigt schematisch:It shows schematically:
Fig. 1 das Kühlmöbel in Seitenansicht mit der aufgesetzten Haube; Fig. 2 die Haube in Vorderansicht;Fig. 1 the refrigerated cabinet in side view with the hood attached; Fig. 2 the hood in front view;
Fig. 3 die Haube in Seitenansicht undFig. 3 the hood in side view and
Fig. 4 the hood in side view in section with the particle trapping lining arranged therein.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, the refrigeration unit consists of a housing 2 with a condenser 3 arranged at the rear, wherein at least over part of the surface 1 of the housing 2 there is a hood 4 which is open at the front and which also encompasses the arrangement area of the condenser 3, and at least on the inner cover surface 5 of the hood 4 there is a particle trapping coating 6 which, as mentioned, can be made from a relatively thin (approx. 5 mm) mat made of coarsely structured, open-celled suitable plastic in mat form. The hood 4 is advantageously designed as an element which can be attached separately to the housing, so that existing refrigeration units can also be equipped, which is extremely simple since the hood 4 only has to be placed on the refrigeration unit, as shown in Fig. 2, 3.
Suitable lateral attachment elements, which are not specifically shown, provide the hood 4 with sufficient support, which is not a problem since the dimensions of such refrigeration units are generally based on the given standards.
*· am *· at the
In order to be able to clean or replace the covering 6 easily, it is advantageously arranged in the hood 4 in a replaceable manner. If the inner cover surface 5 is not itself designed to rise slightly towards the front, the covering 6 can nevertheless be arranged in the hood 4 with its holding elements (not shown) running slightly upwards towards the front, which arrangement of the cover surface of the hood and the covering is preferred, since the cover surface can thus be used as a support surface for any objects.
The covering 6 is, as can be seen from Fig. 1,4, arranged in a curved manner from the inner cover surface 5 into the inner rear wall surface 7 of the hood 4 and furthermore the rear wall 8 of the hood 4 can be designed to extend at least to the upper edge 9 of the condenser 3, as can be seen from Fig. 1. It is also possible to pull it down further, as can be seen from Fig. 1. In this case, the rear wall 8 of the hood, which extends at least to the upper edge 9 of the condenser 3, is advantageously provided with side flank walls 10, as shown in Fig. 1, from which it is also clear that the condenser 3 thus disappears almost completely in the convection shaft formed by the hood 4 and is thus removed from any risk of damage.
