Abstract

The invention relates to a device for cooling plate or strip-type material by creating a fan jet that is directed onto the material to be cooled. Said device comprises: a first housing (2) consisting of cast steel, which extends over the width of the fan jet; a strip (6), which is connected to a first wall (3) of the first housing (2) and together with a second wall (4) of the first housing (2) forms a fan jet nozzle; a second housing (11) consisting of cast steel, which is connected to the first housing (2) at a distance from the strip and has at least one connection (15) for introducing a cooling medium; and a distributor plate (15) provided with passages (14), which is positioned between the two housings (2, 11), separating the interior chambers of the latter from one another.

Claims (10)

1. Vorrichtung zum Kühlen von platten- oder bahnförmigem Material durch Erzeugen eines Flachstrahls, der auf das zu kühlende Material gerichtet ist, mit
  • 1. einem ersten Gehäuse (2) aus Gußstahl, das sich über die Breite des Flachstrahls erstreckt,
    • - einer Leiste (6), die mit einer ersten Wand (3) des ersten Gehäuses (2) verbunden ist und gemeinsam mit einer zweiten Wand (4) des ersten Gehäuses (2) eine Flachstrahl- Düse bildet,
    • - einem zweiten Gehäuse (11) aus Gußstahl, das im Abstand zur Leiste (6) mit dem ersten Gehäuse (2) verbunden ist und mindestens einen Anschluß (15) zum Einleiten eines Kühlmediums aufweist, und
    • - einer mit Durchtrittsöffnungen (14) versehenen Vertei­ lerplatte (13), die zwischen den beiden Gehäusen (2, 11) angeordnet ist und deren Innenräume voneinander trennt.
