Information and advertising system on the handle for shopping and transport trolleys

The invention relates to a device for shopping and transport trolleys (hereinafter referred to as shopping trolleys), which is attached to the hand or push handle and is suitable as an information or advertising medium (hereinafter referred to as advertising medium) in such a way that the information or advertising material (hereinafter referred to as advertising material) inserted in the device can be exchanged quickly and easily, existing advertising inserts or prints on the handle are not covered by the holder and the advertising surface of the advertising medium stands out considerably from the height of the shopping trolley handle at an angle.

The state of the art includes various self-supporting constructions (including DE 43 31 754, DE 198 30 117, DE 198 11 774, DE 198 30 297, EP 918 300 84, EP 0 937 626) that form a functional unit with the shopping cart handle. These known systems are associated with either high conversion costs or complicated replacement of the advertising material or small or poorly placed advertising spaces.

The state of the art also includes various shopping cart handle covers (e.g. DE 198 39 659) and information carriers (e.g. DE 42 32 287) which do not require the handles to be replaced when they are attached, but which, when attached to the shopping cart handle, conceal the name of the retail company (e.g. EDEKA, SPAR, etc.) or other advertising inserts integrated into the handle and whose advertising space placement does not stand out significantly from the height of the handle.

The object of the invention is to further develop an advertising carrier system for the handle of shopping trolleys in such a way that the disadvantages described above are completely eliminated or at least mitigated.

The solution to the problem is that the advertising carrier system of the type presented here can be quickly and easily attached to the existing shopping cart handle and the fastening element of the advertising carrier system does not cover the existing advertising media integrated in the handle, either due to its small width or due to

the choice of a transparent base material. The advertising carrier system extends at a certain angle with its entire advertising area of the enclosed advertising material (preferably in paper or foil) significantly upwards and/or downwards from the height of the shopping cart handle.

The advantage of an advertising space that extends beyond the handle is its good visual perception, especially when the shopping carts are stacked inside each other.

The advertising carrier system, which is preferably manufactured using the extrusion or injection molding process, can be manufactured from a single unit or assembled from individual components to form a single unit. Commercially available fastening devices (screws, clamps) are used to fix it to the handle, preventing it from twisting or being used for other purposes.

The material selection for the advertising system is based on an at least partially transparent and almost shatterproof as well as elastic material (e.g. polycarbonate). The transparency of the material is responsible for the visibility and waterproof cover of the advertising material as well as for the fastening element on the shopping cart handle, especially with a width of approx. 7 cm or more, so that the visibility of already integrated advertising material (e.g. trade name EDEKA) is still guaranteed. The shatterproof nature of the material serves to protect against vandalism and is responsible for long-term use of the advertising system. The selection of a flexible material prevents the risk of injury from protruding edges.

Fig. 1 shows a handle (1) which, after the advertising carrier system (2) has been put on, is surrounded by the fastening unit (3) and is fixed to the recesses (4) provided for this purpose using a standard plug screw or a clamp. The cover component (5) of the advertising carrier (2) in this case has a slightly concave contour which rises above the handle (1) at a certain angle. The advertising strip (6) is inserted from above using a gripper (7) and at the same time forms a watertight seal between the transparent cover component (5) and the base component (8). The entire advertising carrier system consists of one unit and is made of transparent, shatterproof and flexible material.

Fig. 2 shows the advertising carrier system with a wide and transparent fastening unit (3) on the shopping cart handle. The unhindered handling of the shopping cart is ensured by the fact that there is at least one hand's width of space (9) available to the left and right of the advertising carrier system. In this case, the advertising material (6) is inserted into the advertising carrier from the side, either from the left or right, using a gripper (10), which also forms a watertight seal.

Fig. 3 shows the advertising carrier system with a narrow fastening unit (11) and a base and cover component (12) that is not connected to the fastening unit over the entire height. This makes it possible to grip the shopping cart handle (13) in the middle even after the advertising carrier system has been attached. Optionally, a holder (14) for a shopping list, for example, can be attached to the fastening unit.

Fig. 4 shows the replacement of the advertising material (6) (preferably advertising strips made of paper or foil) by means of a plug-in grid (14) on the base and cover components. The advertising material is inserted from the front.

Fig. 5 shows the replacement of the advertising material (6) (preferably advertising strips made of paper or foil) by means of a locking screw (15) which releases the cover component (5) from the base component (8) and thus enables the insertion of the advertising material (6). The transparent cover component (5) functions like a window.

Information and advertising system on the handle for shopping and transport trolleys, characterized in that - the attachment to the shopping trolley handle ( 1 ) does not cover any advertising material already present and associated with it on the handle and the advertising surface of the advertising medium ( 2 ) is at an angle that stands out considerably from the height of the shopping trolley handle ( Fig. 1-3). 2. Information and advertising system according to claim 1, characterized in that - the selected base material has the properties of transparency, flexibility and resistance to breakage ( Fig. 1-4). 3. Information and advertising system according to claim 1, characterized in that - it is preferably manufactured from a single unit using the extrusion or injection molding process and the material has the property of transparency since it serves both as a cover for the advertising area ( 5 ) and for fastening ( 3 ) to the shopping cart handle ( Fig. 1-2). 4. Information and advertising system according to claim 1, characterized in that - it is manufactured from several components, with at least the cover for the advertising space ( 5 ) and the fastening system ( 3 ) on the shopping trolley handle being made of transparent material ( Fig. 1-2). 5.
