Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Sprunggelenkbandage mit einem sich mindestens über Mittelfuß und Sprunggelenk erstreckenden Strumpf und einem daran unterhalb der Fußsohle ansetzenden und in Richtung Fußaußenseite verlaufenden Befestigungsband zur Umschlingung des Unterschenkels.The invention relates to an ankle bandage with a stocking extending at least over the metatarsal and ankle joint and a fastening band attached to it below the sole of the foot and running towards the outside of the foot to wrap around the lower leg.

Eine derartige Sprunggelenkbandage ist in der DE PS 4 318 791 offenbart. Gemäß Fig. 1 enthält die Sprunggelenkbandage den aus zwei Bereichen bestehenden Strumpf, nämlich dem Fußstrumpfteil 1 und dem Unterschenkelstrumpfteil 2. Das Klettverschlußgegenstück 9 ist hier als ein eigener Bereich auf dem Anfangsteil 6 dargestellt. Damit wird das Befestigungsband, nachdem der Strumpf 1/2 über den Fuß und den unteren Teil des Unterschenkels gezogen ist, mit seinem Anfangsteil 6 über den Spann des Fußes gelegt, wobei aufgrund der Elastizität dieses Teils 6 des Befestigungsbandes ein jeweils gewünschter Druck in Richtung auf Vorderfuß und Sprunggelenk ausgeübt wird, der beim Anlegen des Befestigungsbandes 6/7 durch dessen entsprechendes Anziehen jeweils eingestellt werden kann. Durch die weitere Umschlingung durch das Endteil 7, das aus unelastischem Bandmaterial besteht, wird dann dem Sprunggelenk ein besonderer Halt gegeben, der von der Zugkraft bestimmt wird, der von dem aus elastischem Material bestehenden Anfangsteil 6 des Befestigungsbandes ausgeht. In den Figuren ist die Elastizität des Anfangsteils 6 durch die eingezeichneten, in Längsrichtung verlaufenden Striche und die Unelastizität des Endteils 7 durch die Kreuzschraffierung angedeutet. Um dem Endteil 7 bei seiner Umschlingung des Unterschenkels einen besonderen Halt zu geben, ist an dem Unterschenkelstrumpfteil 2 ein weiteres Klettverschlußgegenstück 11 angebracht, zu dem ein in der Fig. 1 nicht sichtbares Klettverschlußstück am Endteil 7 paßt. Dieses Klettverschlußgegenstück 11 kann, falls besonders gewünscht, auch als einziges Klettverschlußgegenstück verwendet werden, das dann mit dem Klettverschlußstück 8 des Endteils 7 zusammenwirkt.
