Der Airbag 11 ist nämlich so ausgebildet, daß das ihn aufblasende Gas teilweise wieder entweichen kann, beispielsweise indem das Sackgewebe luftdurchlässig ist. Damit wird ein Teil der Bewegungsenergie des Insassens abgebaut. Die Spitze im zeitlichen Verlauf der Verzögerung des Schwerpunktes des Beckenbereichs wird dadurch verringert. Energy is reduced by deforming the components of the toggle joint 110 , which are plastically deformed from a defined load level in a geometrically predetermined manner.
Ein drittes, in Fig. 4 dargestelltes Ausführungsbeispiel ist eine Abwandlung des zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels. Gleiche Bauteile sind mit um 100 höheren Bezugs zeichen versehen. Der Fahrzeugsitz 201 weist ein Sitzgestell 203 mit einem Sitzkis senträger 205 auf, an welchem im hinteren Bereich eine ein Sitzkissen 209 tragende Sitzschale 210 angelenkt ist. Die Sitzschale 210 ist in ihrem vorderen Bereich über ein Kniehebelgelenk 212 mit dem Sitzkissenträger 205 verbunden. Im Unterschied zum zweiten Ausführungsbeispiel wird das Kniehebelgelenk 212 nicht über ein Gurtschloß und eine Zugkoppel gestreckt. Statt dessen ist in der Mitte des Kniehe belgelenks 212 ein Aktivator 220 angebracht, beispielsweise eine vorgespannte Fe der oder ein pyrotechnische Ladung. Im Crashfall löst der Aktivator 220 aus, streckt das Kniegelenk 212 und hebt dadurch den vorderen Rand der Sitzschale 210 und damit den vorderen Rand des Sitzkissens 209 an. Dadurch ergibt sich die beschrie bene Anti-Submarining-Wirkung. Die gestrichelte Linie gibt die Position der Sitzschale 210 im Crashfall wieder. A third exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 4 is a modification of the second exemplary embodiment. The same components are provided with reference signs that are 100 higher.
