Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device device to even out a molten metal layer on a moving conveyor belt.
In processes in which a liquid metal film on an Un Terlage is applied, for. B. a steel film on a rotating Conveyor belt, there is generally the problem that in the pouring molten metal at different speeds occurs. Among other things, this leads to an uneven Thickness distribution of the solidified metal strip and warp formation of the solidified layer by an uneven Er staring.
The invention has for its object over the prior art the technology to achieve improvements and in particular a Desired uniform thickness distribution of the metal layer sometimes a constant thickness distribution of the metal layer to achieve.
This task is carried out in a method for comparing egg ner molten metal layer solved by at least one predominantly or substantially perpendicular to the surface of the Metal layer standing magnetic field is generated that spatially and is variable in time and at least one in the trans Magnetic traveling moving the direction of the conveyor belt field.
This object is further achieved by a device for Treat a molten metal layer with a ruler inductor device for generating a magnetic standard field that is perpendicular to the surface of the molten Metal layer stands, is spatially and temporally variable and to at least one in the transport direction of the conveyor belt moving moving magnetic field.
According to the invention, a magnetic wander is thus provided Apply the field perpendicular to the surface of the liquid Metal layer or perpendicular to the conveyor belt and moves in the transport direction of the conveyor belt. Erfin In accordance with this hiking field is intended to make it more even the transport speed of the liquid metal layer enough to achieve a desired transport speed adjust the metal layer. Thus areas the metal layer, which is faster or slower than that move, slow down or slow down the desired transport speed accelerated, so that an equalization over the thickness, ins particular also achieved through the cross section of the metal layer can be.
A step vertically through a liquid metal layer , static magnetic normal field acts on a metal layer according to the eddy current brake principle braking. By using the magnetic traveling field, which is characterized by a spatial and temporal periodic normal magnetic field, e.g. B. with sinusoidal Course that can be formed is instead of a standstill Metal layer a uniform transport speed strives. On areas of the liquid metal layer that are faster than the traveling speed of the traveling magnetic field, it slows down, it acts on slower areas accelerating. Thus, the cross section of the metal layer an equalization of the speed in the direction of transport achieved so that the problems of uneven solidification can be at least largely avoided.
The traveling speed of the magnetic field can in particular equal to the belt speed of the circulating belt or trans portbandes, so that even transport on the belt is achieved. Furthermore, e.g. B. in the field of metal task also a higher transport speed of the liquid metal layer can be achieved by moving the Magnetic field is greater than the belt speed. Hereby becomes a quick job of molten metal on the belt possible and a build-up of the molten metal in the area of a Ver feed nozzle or fix the melt on the feed nozzle ver prevents. The molten metal can then be removed again brakes and be brought to belt speed.
In addition to the magnetic traveling field in the transport direction of the Band can also create a magnetic traveling field in cross direction tion of the tape with which the thickness distribution the metal layer can be influenced in the transverse direction. A desired thickness distribution can thus be within the cross section of the metal layer can be adjusted. So at for example, high margins or a higher middle the at a uniform thickness of the layer in the longitudinal direction of the Band.
It is also possible that in the direction of the belt or transport direction or in the opposite direction several, e.g. B. generates two parallel magnetic traveling fields that are at different walking speeds move. As a result, z. B. a different one Deceleration or acceleration of the middle compared to the lateral Edges can be reached. Furthermore, ma gnetic hiking fields of different speeds or different frequency are superimposed so that a more complex training of temporally and spatially variable Magnetic fields is reached. Thus, desired strength can Te profiles can be set in the thickness direction. This can especially the skin effect by using different ones Frequencies of the magnetic fields are used, in which a Va riation of the force density profile over the thickness of the metal film can be adjusted. Here, for. B. a higher frequency Traveling field against the direction of transport are generated thus only acts on the surface of the metal layer and slows them down or even pulls them away.
The magnetic traveling fields can in particular by Linear inductors are generated in the desired manner AC or three-phase current can be applied. In particular, provided pole shoes with different conductor loops be and with three-phase current or three-phase currents of different fre quenz be applied to the desired magnetic wan to generate fields. Here, the overlay ver different three-phase currents also non-sinusoidal traveling fields be fathered.
The windings are advantageously each around teeth one Magnetic core wound, for example, above the Conveyor belt can be arranged. The magnetic flux can in this case both by the conveyor belt when the trans portband is made of magnetic steel, as well as by a magnetically conductive one arranged below the conveyor belt Plate in turn can be returned to the magnetic core.
Furthermore, a stirring effect can be achieved by additionally a magnetic field is used that is not perpendicular to the me tall layer stands.
The treatment method according to the invention and the fiction moderate treatment device can in particular for a Her positioning method for a metal strip can be used. Here is a molten metal, especially molten steel, initially on a conveyor belt, e.g. B. a rotating conveyor belt ferritic steel and applied as a liquid metal layer transported on the conveyor belt. This liquid metal layer is on the conveyor belt by an inventive Treatment process is evened out and then solidifies on the conveyor belt. A strip casting process can thus be achieved in which a metal band of high quality is produced can, whose properties such. B. Thickness distribution over the Cross section can be set specifically. The metal band can if necessary directly on the conveyor belt without Ver use of additional auxiliary devices such. B. mechanical Wipers and without the need for post-treatment getting produced.
Es zeigen:The invention is based on the accompanying drawing in some embodiments explained. Show it:

Fig. 3 is a detailed longitudinal section through the Anord voltage of Fig. 1, 2.
A conveyor belt 1 made of ferritic steel is transported according to FIG. 1 at a belt speed vB. On the trans port belt a molten metal 2 with a Transportgeschwin speed vT is transported in the same transport direction, ie in Fig. 1 to the right. A magnetic field is generated by a linear inductor arrangement 10 , which passes perpendicularly through the metal layer up to the ferromagnetic conveyor belt. The course of the magnetic field according to FIG. 1a is changed in time so that a magnetic traveling field is generated, which moves in the transport direction of the strip and the melt at the transport speed VM. For this purpose, the excitation currents of the linear inductor are continuously reversed in a known manner, so that the north and south poles continuously shift in the transport direction. Figs. 1a, b show this, π / 2 = 90 ° phase-shifted positions.
The conveyed on the belt or conveyor belt 1 liquid Me tallschicht 2 is shown in FIG. 2 by side boundaries 8 . The linear inductor arrangement has a magnetic core 3 , on the underside of which teeth 9 protrude toward the metal layer 2 . Windings 4 are wound around the teeth 9 and are connected to different phases of a three-phase current. Ver extensions 5 of the teeth 9 protrude into an area below the windings 4 , so that the magnetic flux through the teeth 9 and the extensions 5 is closely up to the metal layer 2 tet. The extensions 5 are shown in FIG. 2 is advantageously at the same width as the metal film 2, so that the magnetic flux of the surrounding of the windings 4 teeth 9 and their extensions can be distributed 5 to the width of the metal layer 2 and this width by the metal layer passes vertically. The magnetic flux generated by the Linearinduktoran arrangement 10 is in addition to the magnetic conveyor belt 2 additionally also from a plate-shaped body arranged below the conveyor belt made of magnetic material and passed on. Between the band 2 and the body 7 , a gap for cooling the band from below with water is preferably formed. The magnetic core 3 , the extensions 5 and the body 7 can, for. B. be made of sheet metal or solid ferritic steel. According to FIG. 3, metallic, non-magnetic intermediate bodies 6 are preferably arranged between the extensions 5 . Inter mediate the extensions 5 and the intermediate bodies 6 can optionally ge electrically insulating intermediate layers are attached to suppress induced eddy currents. By the extensions 5 and intermediate body 6 a Grundschutzplat te 12 is formed, which shields the linear inductor from the hot, molten metal layer 2 . In this basic protective plate, holes L can be provided according to FIG. 2, which run, for example, in the direction of transport and serve to remove the heat transferred from the liquid metal and to cool the liner inductors. Cooling water can be passed through the holes L, for example.
The magnetic flux can thus be guided over the magnetic core 3 , the teeth 9 , the extensions 5 , the metal layer 2 and the conveyor belt 1 and the magnetic plates 7 . Furthermore, a magnetic field can occur laterally next to the conveyor belt, the z. B. can be closed by a magnetic connection between the magnetic plates 7 and the magnetic core 3 . In this case, a magnetic yoke can thus be formed between the magnetic plates 7 and the magnetic core 3 since Lich.
According to the invention, the magnetic traveling field migrates in the belt direction of the conveyor belt 1 or in the transport direction of the liquid metal layer 2 . Since the traveling field corresponds to the belt speed, that is to say vM = vB, a uniform transport of the metal layer on the conveyor belt is achieved at its speed. Areas of the liquid metal that move faster or slower than the conveyor belt are braked according to the eddy current brake principle or accelerated according to the principle of the asynchronous linear motor and brought to the speed of the conveyor belt.
In the area of a dispensing nozzle vM <vB can be set the so that the liquid metal layer against the transport band is accelerated and the metal layer builds up the output is prevented. Then the liquid me slowed down again and on the belt speed to be brought.
Furthermore, it is possible to achieve a magnetic traveling field in the lateral direction, that is to say the transverse direction of the strip, by means of a corresponding linear inductor arrangement. As a result, the lateral center of the liquid metal layer can be thinned or increased, for example, and the lateral edges of the liquid metal layer 2 can be thickened or thinned out. Furthermore, an adjustment with continuously increasing or decreasing thickness from one edge to the other is possible. Such late rally hiking fields can be superimposed on the hiking fields running in the direction of transport. Furthermore, moving fields with different speeds or frequencies can be overlaid in the direction of transport. The traveling speed of the magnetic field and its frequency are related in a sinusoidal traveling field in such a way that, according to FIG. 1, the distance between two north poles is bridged by the traveling magnetic field within the period of one period, ie the reciprocal of the frequency. Due to the skin effect, different frequencies of the magnetic traveling field penetrate into the metal layer at different depths, so that different penetration depths and thus force densities can be achieved in the metal film by changing the frequency.
The magnetic traveling field can be generated by one or more linear inductors. The different traveling fields can also be achieved by different windings on the teeth 9 of the comb-shaped magnetic core 3 . The windings can e.g. B. can be achieved by two or more windings arranged one behind the other in the transport direction. Furthermore, two linear motors can also be arranged one behind the other in the transport direction.
The method according to the invention can be of any length of the conveyor belt can be applied. By melting the metal solidifies after treatment or equalization, a Metal tape with desired properties, especially one uniform thickness over its length and width and uniformi material properties with relatively few Faults are produced.
