Abstract

An exhaust pipe fitting on a road vehicle decouples vibrations between two different sections of an exhaust system. The fitting consists of two bushes (1,2) linked by a number of radially angled bridging flanges (8). The assembly is surrounded by a corrugated muff (3).

In beiden Fällen muß durch ein außenliegendes Element sichergestellt werden, daß die Bewegung der beiden Rohrstutzen gegeneinander in axialer, radialer und Drehrichtung auf konstruktiv zulässige Werte begrenzt wird.
