Das eingeführte Geldstück fällt in die Auskerbung der Wage i und bewirkt dadurch eine Schrägstellung derselben (Fig. 2), durch welche die Verlängerung r in die Höhe geführt wird. Wenn nun die Trommel b vermittels der Kurbel c in Vorwärtsdrehung gesetzt wird, dann tritt eine der an dieser Trommel befindlichen Rollen u in den Winkel der Verlängerung r und drückt den Stab / nach der Richtung des mit dem Geldstück beschwerten Endes. Das eingeklemmte Geldstück bewirkt darauf eine gleichzeitige Bewegung des Stabes m und die an demselben befindliche Zugvorrichtung ν, welche mit der Brücke w (Fig. 1, 2 und 3) in Verbindung steht, bewirkt eine Niederbewegung dieser Brücke w, die sich mit ihren Spitzen gegen das Band d legt. Die Brücke besteht aus einer seitlich auf Ständern gelagerten Welle 1 mit daran rechtwinklig sich abzweigenden Stäben 2 (Fig. 6).
