An dem oberen Theil der' Mulde B ist eine Stange H drehbar befestigt, welche in einen Einschnitt der Stange G- eingreift, um welche sich das Zahlbrett dreht. Eine Spiralfeder E, welche sich gegen einen auf der Stange H angebrachten Bund F legt, ist bestrebt, die Stange H beständig gegen die Stange G zu pressen. Der Einschnitt in der Stange G ist so angeordnet, dafs bei horizontaler Stellung des Zahlbrettes die Stange H in denselben eingreift. In dieser Stellung kann man also einen Druck auf das Zahlbrett ausüben, ohne dafs dasselbe nachgeben könnte, da es durch die Stange H arretirt ist. Will man nun einen auf das Brett aufgezählten Betrag einkassiren, so legt man die Hand in die Mulde B. Dieselbe dreht sich infolge dessen um. ihren Drehpunkt, und die Stange H wird, entgegen der Wirkung der Spiralfeder E, in Richtung des eingezeichneten Pfeiles nach vorn gezogen, so dafs sie aus dem Einschnitt der Stange G heraustritt. Nun kann das Zahlbrett dem Druck der in die Mulde gelegten Hand nachgeben und neigt sich nach unten, so dafs der auf das Brett gezählte Betrag in die in der Mulde liegende Hand gleitet.
