Nur echte Münzen werden entweder in eine der dafür vorgesehenen Tuben oder in die Kasse gelenkt und führen zu einem Vergleich mit dem im Mikroprozessor voreingestellten Preis für eine Ware oder eine Dienstleistung. Nach Erreichen des vorgegebenen oder eines darüber liegenden Preises kann dann ein Signal an den Automaten gegeben wer den zur Ausgabe einer Ware, eines Tickets oder dergleichen.
