Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining dynamic traffic information. Said method makes use of the change in the transmitting power of a moving mobile telephone which occurs as the distance between a mobile telephone and a base station changes. The position of a mobile station is accordingly determined via the base station in whose coverage the mobile telephone is located and via the mobile telephone transmitting power received by said base station. On the basis of the change in transmitting power, i.e. change in the mobile telephone's position in relation to the base station, a change in the position of the mobile telephone can be detected. The number of moving and stationary mobile telephones is identified in a base station. Two adjacent base stations which are involved in a communication calculate the position of the mobile telephone from changes in transmitting power. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Ermittlung von dynamischen Verkehrsinformationen.The invention relates to a method for determining dynamic Traffic information.

Derzeit bildet sich eine offene Plattform für Verkehrstelematikdienste in Mobilfunknetzen. Hauptsächlich finden dabei Client-Server-Architekturen für eine bidirektionale Kommunikation über Mobilfunknetze Anwendung. Die Clients stellen in diesem Fall Fahrzeuge mit entsprechendem Telematikendgerät dar. Die Telematikendgeräte beinhalten zur eigenen Ortsbestimmung ein GPS (Global Positioning System) und eine spezielle Kommunikationseinheit zum Datenaustausch mit einem Server des Telematikdiensteanbieters. Die einlaufenden Daten bieten die Basis für intelligente Verkehrsleitsysteme sowie Navigations- und Informationsdienste. Über den GATS (Global Automotive Telematics Standard) erfolgt die Umsetzung auf den derzeitig verfügbaren Kommunikationsdiensten der GSM-Netze (Global System for Mobile Communication), speziell dem SMS (Short Message Service). Die DE 196 04 084 A1 beschreibt ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zur Ermittlung von dynamischen Verkehrsinformationen. Verkehrsrelevante Daten werden von Endgeräten im Fahrzeug automatisch, per Fernabfrage oder manuell aufgenommen und über ein mobiles Telekommunikationsnetz direkt an weitere Mobilfunkteilnehmer oder eine Dienstezentrale übermittelt. In der Dienstezentrale werden die eingehenden Daten verarbeitet und an ausgewählte Endgeräte oder an Dritte weitergegeben. Nachteil hierbei ist jedoch, daß ein spezielles Endgerät im Fahrzeug erforderlich ist. Die Ortsbestimmung der Endgeräte erfordert eine Vorrichtung mit GPS. Auch dies bedeutet zusätzlichen Aufwand. In der DE 196 29 233 A1 ist ein Verkehrssteuerungssystem beschrieben, welches über GPS den Ort eines Fahrzeugs bestimmt und lokale, regionale oder ortsspezifische Informationen dem Fahrer über einen Kommunikationsdienst, z. B. GSM zur Verfügung stellt. Auch hierbei werden die Daten von einer zentralen Servicestation verarbeitet. Die zusätzlichen Aufwendungen für Kommunikationseinrichtungen und Einbau im Fahrzeug bestimmen die wesentlichen Nachteile. Ein ähnliches System mit den gleichen Nachteilen beinhaltet die DE 44 02 613 A1.An open platform for traffic telematics services in mobile radio networks is currently being formed. Die Daten werden von den einzelnen Basisstationen oder von einer Zentrale verarbeitet. Die ausgewerteten Daten werden an vorhandene Verkehrsleitsysteme weitergeleitet oder über den Verkehrsfunk ausgestrahlt.   • - in einer Basisstation und/oder in einer Zentrale die Anzahl der sich bewegenden und stehenden Mobiltelefone identifiziert wird,
  • - benachbarte, in die Kommunikationsführung einbezogene Basisstationen über Laufzeitunterschiede die Position des Mobiltelefons bestimmen,
  • - die Daten von den einzelnen Basisstationen oder von einer Zentrale verarbeitet werden,
  • - die ausgewerteten Daten an vorhandene Verkehrsleitsysteme weitergeleitet oder über
  • - den Verkehrsfunk ausgestrahlt werden.
