Die Sitztiefenverstellvorrichtung 1, im folgenden mit Sitz tiefenverstellbereich bezeichnet, weist ein Trägerelement 1b auf, das mit Führungsleisten 1a in Führungsnuten 2b am Sitzrahmen 2 längsverschieblich geführt ist. Parallel zu den Führungsnuten 2b sind am Sitzrahmen 2 einander gegen überliegende, als Zahnstangen ausgebildete Gegenstücke 2a, im folgenden mit Gegenbereiche bezeichnet, vorgesehen, in die als Stirnzahnräder ausgebildete Räder 3 eingreifen. Die Räder 3 sind an senkrecht zur Führungsebene des Trägerele ments 1b verlaufenden Drehachsen 3a am Trägerelement 1b ge lagert. Mit den äußeren Rädern 3 kämmen Zwischenräder 4, die miteinander in Eingriff stehen und sich um zu den Dreh achsen 3a parallele Drehachsen 4a drehen.
