Description

Backing nonwovens are known in the industry for a variety of applications. The the essential thing is that they have the desired properties for permanent wear of the each product are sufficient. For this reason, these fleeces are generally made from staple fibers and then chemically and / or mechanically solidified. The intimate mixing of the nonwoven with is under chemical consolidation to understand a binder that after a heat treatment process Fibers of the fleece firmly bonded together. It can also be the fleece thermoplastic binding fibers are added after the melting process glue the unmelted fibers under heat. With Backing webs that can be produced by this method have the required strength, however they are expensive to manufacture because of the necessary binders or the necessary melt fibers.

B. Bitumendachbahnen. With mechanical consolidation of a fleece made of staple fibers or Endless filaments are to be understood as mechanical needling. But this too Nonwovens are to be provided with a dispersion binder, otherwise the necessary ones Strength is not attainable. With mechanical needling it is particularly disadvantageous that the individual fibers are injured by the needles, indifferent what type of fiber or whether continuous fibers or staple fibers mechanically needled. This is also a reason why mechanical Needling the required strength is not initially achieved. This problem can be remedied by using chemical binders, but they are also disadvantageous because of the later poorer possibility of penetration. The Acrylic resin hinders the intensive, also penetrating coating with bitumen in the case of the production of e.g. B. bitumen roofing membranes.

The invention has for its object a method and according to the method to develop a desirable product with which a high-strength fleece such as in particular carrier fleece can be produced, which for z. B. bitumen membranes has the required strength, but is not provided with any binding agent or binding fiber.

To solve the problem it is provided according to the invention that Continuous filaments immediately after they are made into a uniformly thick fleece placed on an endless screen and then needled hydrodynamically to Production of a high-strength fleece. The filing of the continuous fibers can be done with the today's technology must be done in such a way that a substantially uniform Strength can be achieved in the two surface dimensions. Then this fleece, these filaments are then injured with the water needling in the third Dimension shifted, hooked together, this creates the desired high strength, without the expensive and also disadvantageous in the further processing of the fleece Binder are needed. The fleece is still highly breathable and can because no wetting agents are used in the production of the consolidated nonwoven, better to be penetrated with a wear layer. It can even face that State-of-the-art methods include a higher proportion of bitumen in the fleece can be entered without losing the elasticity of the fleece. It is advantageous the intimate mixing of the bitumen through the pores now present of the fleece, which in particular has consequences for the non-cleavability of the fleece has low temperatures.

It is useful to ensure dimensional stability, the needled To fix continuous fiber fleece before coating.

The useful coating can e.g. B. be a bitumen coating, or this Backing fleece serves as a matrix sheet for later tufting finishing or one Coating with plasticizers. The latter has the in the softener fabric industry Advantage that such a fleece does not flow.

These fleeces can also be made from endless PETP fibers because of that not only high-strength, but also thermostable nonwovens can be achieved.

Beispiel 1example 1

A 45 g / m 2 nonwoven made of endless PE fibers was needled hydrodynamically for consolidation and obtained a strength of 133 N / 5 cm in the longitudinal direction and 109 N / 5 cm in the transverse direction with an elongation of 68 and 75%. This gives a longitudinal strength of 3.0 N / 5 cm per g / m 2 . This strength is sufficient to z. B. to offer the basis as a bitumen membrane.

Beispiel 2Example 2

Dies ergibt eine Längsfestigkeit von 3,7 N/5 cm pro g/m2.A 145 g / m 2 nonwoven made of endless PE fibers was needled hydrodynamically on both sides for strengthening and obtained a strength of 530 N / 5 cm in the longitudinal direction with an elongation of 75%. This results in a longitudinal strength of 3.7 N / 5 cm per g / m 2 .
