Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composition and a method for dyeing fibers with vat dye, the fiber simultaneously with a vat dye, one or more sizing agents and one or is treated with several reducing agents.
Vat dyeing is the transfer of certain water insoluble dyes (vat dyes) by reduction (vatting) in alkaline solution to a water-soluble hydro or leuco compound, the anion of which has sufficient affinity for the fiber, for example cotton fiber or chemical fiber from regenerated cellulose (rayon). In the Reoxidation of the leuco compound, for example by "hanging on the Air "creates the dye directly on the fiber in the finest distribution and thus guarantees a high level of wash and light fastness. Subsequently the yarns are woven on looms, the lengthways in the fabric Direction parallel to the bar usually colored threads chain or warp threads or warp yarn and cross them at right angles the usually not dyed threads wefts.
For the production of hard-wearing work clothes and nowadays especially for the production of blue jeans is generally a coarse cotton fabric (denim) is used, which generally with the Vat dye indigo is colored. To get the typical look of a blue Reaching jeans is usually only the warp threads before weaving dyed and the weft remains colorless.
Dyeing of warp denim with the indigo vat dye in several Trains in indigo dyeing plants are generally known. For coloring usually the threads either as a cable or in parallel as a group of yarn ("Shlasher shape") pulled through the dye bath. Generally the transmission This process is possible for other vat dyes, but usually fails on the oversized indigo dyeing systems that change color every time need to be cleaned.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a method where the dyeing of the yarn with vat dye is also in front existing, smaller textile machines is possible, one under dyeing in the sense of the present invention also understands pigmentation.
The invention therefore relates to a composition containing a Vat dye, one or more sizing agents and one or more Reducing agent, and a process for dyeing fibers with vats dye, the fiber simultaneously with a vat dye, one or behave several sizing agents and one or more reducing agents delt is. Preferably, the reducing agent is essentially on the Air stable, with sulfinic acid derivatives in particular, especially an α-hydroxy alkane sulfinate with 2-10 carbon atoms, preferably with 2-4 Carbon atoms, thiourea dioxide or mixtures thereof are suitable. Under essentially stable in air in the sense of the present inven tion is preferably understood as reducing agents at room temperature and in the absence of caustic alkali (sodium or potassium hydroxide) both on the textile goods for several weeks in contact with air, as well as in a treatment fleet are stable and only by increasing the temperature and / or adding caustic alkali have a reducing effect.
Fiber according to the present invention means a cellulose containing fiber from natural cellulosic material, such as. B. Tree wool, linen or rayon, or made of synthetic cellulose Material z. B. from regenerated cellulose as in modal fibers, or as in Viscose rayon.

Suitable vat dyes are, for example, indigo dyes such as e.g. B. indigo, tetrabromoindigo or thioindigo; anthrachinoid dyes, such as B. indanthrene dyes such as indanthrene blue BC, indanthrene brown NG, indanthrene brilliant green FFB, indanthrene brilliant orange GK, indanthrene Brilliant orange GR, indanthrene brilliant orange RK, indanthrene brilliant pink R, Indanthrene brilliant violet R extra, indanthrene dark blue BOA, indanthrene Gold orange G, indanthrene gray M, indanthrene olive green B, indanthrene red RK, Indanthrene Red FBB or Indanthrene Red Violet RH; or sulfur Dyes such as B. sulfur black T.
In the method according to the invention, the fiber is usually in shape a coulter of yarn, which is preferably used in the invention Treatment is in the "Shlasher form" already explained above. In all the common ones are cotton fibers or the ones mentioned above man-made fibers. After the treatment of the fiber according to the invention the fiber or yarn is squeezed, dried, woven and then the reducing agent is activated. Usually this is after the Invention Warp yarn treated according to the method is woven with colorless weft threads. The activation of the reducing agent or the impregnation of the fabric is preferably done in the foulard, a wide dyeing machine, with little Fleet exchange and loading according to the so-called general pad-steam process. After this procedure, the tissue in the essentially only moistened by the fleet. This will generally NEN avoided that the untreated wefts also stained will. The reducing agent is preferably obtained by adding caustic alkali or caustic alkali in an amount of about 30-80 ml / l, preferably about 50 ml / l NaOH (38 ° Bé) and optionally by increasing the temperature, preferably to about 40-100 ° C, especially to about 60-100 ° C, especially to approx. 75-80 ° C, activated. In particular, according to the invention treated fabric impregnated with caustic potash lye, steamed and preferably oxidized in a wide-angle machine, elusive tet and rinsed.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment, the etch alkali liquor additionally an oxidizing agent, preferably in an amount of about 0.05-10% by weight, based on the amount of reducing agent give. The oxidizing agent is in particular a mild one Oxidizing agents, especially around meta-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid. Through the Addition of the oxidizing agent is generally achieved that the weft fa which is essentially not stained. By that on the warp threads Excess reducing agents present are generally avoided, that the oxidizing agent disturb the dyeing process in the area of the warp threads can.
The method according to the invention is preferably carried out in the weaving mill usual sizing machines, which means that the dyeing directly in a usual dyeing machine is possible. Another advantage of the invention ßen procedure is that although the procedure in Principle is a piece dyeing, only the warp yarn is dyed and the wefts remain essentially colorless. This makes the typical Appearance of jeans especially when using a coarse tree woolen fabric (denim) reached. It will also be a particularly good one Surface dyeing (ring dyeing) of the warp threads reached, resulting in a particularly good "wash down" behavior, d. H. a good color contrast between light and dark areas. The subsequent removal if desired, the dyeings can be carried out by generally known methods by washing out or chemical modification or destruction of the Dye can be achieved.
The following example is intended to explain the invention in more detail without being directed thereto restrict.

contained, impregnated, squeezed to 80% liquor absorption and immediately steamed for 1 minute in saturated steam at 102 ° C, the water lock of the steamer being operated without fresh water supply.
The fabric was then oxidized in a wide washing machine as usual, desized and rinsed. A fabric with a typical denim look was obtained, however in brilliant green.
