Durch diese Einrichtung wird es ermöglicht, flüchtig werdende Pferde sofort vom Wagen, vom Kutscherbock aus, abzusträngen und gleichzeitig den Wagen zu bremsen, so dafs der letztere selbst bei abschüssigen Wegen zum Stillstand gebracht wird.This facility enables escaping horses to be removed from the wagon immediately, from the coachman's seat, and at the same time to brake the car, so that the the latter is brought to a standstill even on sloping paths.

Diese Einrichtung ist auf beiliegender Zeichnung im Längsschnitt und Grundrifs dargestellt. Die Zugstränge werden nicht direct mit den Ortscheiten, der Sprengwaage oder dem Vorderwagengestell verbunden, sondern sind an den Bolzen α befestigt, welche in einer Schiene b oder auch anderen Ansätzen des Vorderwagens sitzen und mit einem Auge versehen sind, in welches ein Haken d fafst. Sind sämmtliche Haken d in die Augen der Bolzen α eingehakt, so ist eine Verbindung der Zugstränge mit dem Wagen hergestellt, während beim Flüchtigwerden der Pferde die Haken d ausgehakt und die Zugstränge vom Wagen getrennt werden. Dasselbe findet gleichzeitig mit der Deichselspitze f statt, an welcher die Halskoppel befestigt sind. Diese Deichselspitze sitzt lose auf der Deichsel und ist durch einen Riemen oder eine Kette mit dem Schieber g verbunden, in dessen Auge der Haken h fafst. Die Haken d sind auf einer am Vorderwagen gelagerten Welle / befestigt, welche durch einen Arm m und Stange η mit dem Hebel / verbunden ist, der den Haken h trägt.This facility is shown in the accompanying drawing in a longitudinal section and ground plan.
