Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hüftgelenkendoprothese nach dem Oberbegriff des An­ spruch 1.
Stand der Technik ist der modulare Aufbau einer Hüftgelenkendoprothese mit einem Prothesenschaft, der im Oberschenkelknochen implantiert ist. Auf dem Prothesen­ schaft ist eine Kugel befestigt, die in einem Pfanneneinsatz gelagert ist. Aus der EP 0 656 199 A1, EP 0 649 641 A1 oder DE 44 02 675 A1 sind Konstruktionen bekannt, bei denen konisch geformte Pfanneneinsätze in Metallschalen eingepaßt sind, wobei die konische Klemmung ausgenutzt wird, um eine sichere Fixation des Pfanneneinsatzes in der Metallschale zu gewährleisten. Auch sind Konstruktionen bekannt, die durch sphärische Außenkonturen eine Verringerung der Baugröße des Pfanneneinsatzes gestatten.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Hüftgelenkendoprothese nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 derart zu verbessern, daß Zugspannungsspitzen im Pfanneneinsatz weitgehend vermieden sind, weil diese besonders kritisch bei kerami­ schen Pfanneneinsätzen sind.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst,
  • - daß die Außenfläche des Pfanneneinsatzes zylinderförmig ausgebildet ist und
  • - daß die Metallschale eine hieran angepaßte Innenfläche aufweist.
Durch die zylinderförmige Ausbildung der Außenfläche des Pfanneneinsatzes berührt dieser nur großflächig die Innenfläche der Metallschale. Hierdurch ist eine optimale Kraftübertragung und dadurch eine gleichmäßige Spannungsverteilung erreicht.
Vorteilhafterweise ist der Pfanneneinsatz durch folgende Verfahren in die Metallscha­ le eingepaßt:
  • - Einschrumpfen,
  • - Einpressen,
  • - Verkeilung mit oder ohne Fixationselemente wie Schrauben oder Keile,
  • - Verschraubung,
  • - Verklemmung,
  • - Verklebung,
  • - Verdeckelung oder
  • - äußere Fixation durch Klemmschellen.
Weitere Merkmale der Erfindung ergeben sich aus der Figur, die nachfolgend be­ schrieben wird.
Die einzige Figur zeigt im Schnitt und in Draufsicht eine Metallschale 2 mit eingesetz­ tem Pfanneneinsatz 1. Der Pfanneneinsatz 1 ist aus einer Keramik, wie z. B. Alumini­ umoxid hergestellt und hat eine zylinderförmige Außenfläche 3 mit einem ebenen Bo­ den 4. Die Gleitfläche 5 im Inneren des Pfanneneinsatzes 1 ist je nach den Erforder­ nissen geformt. Die Metallschale 2 weist eine an den Pfanneneinsatz 1 angepaßte Innenfläche bzw. Bohrung auf. In diesem Beispiel ist der Pfanneneinsatz 1 bündig in die Metallschale 2 eingepaßt.
Der Keramik-Pfanneneinsatz 1 kann auf die verschiedensten Arten in der Metallschale fixiert werden. Dies sind Einschrumpfen, Einpressen, Verkeilung mit oder ohne Fixati­ onselemente wie Schrauben oder Keile, Verschraubung, Verklemmung, Verklebung, Verdeckelung oder äußere Fixation durch Klemmschellen.

Claims (3)

1. Hüftgelenkendoprothese mit einem Prothesenschaft, der im Oberschenkelkno­ chen implantiert ist, einer am Prothesenschaft befestigten Kugel, die in einem Pfanneneinsatz (1) gelagert ist, der in einer Metallschale (2) eingelassen ist, die direkt oder über eine Außenschale im Beckenknochen verankert ist, dadurch ge­ kennzeichnet,
  • - daß die Außenfläche (3) des Pfanneneinsatzes (1) zylinderförmig ausgebildet ist und
  • - daß die Metallschale (2) eine hieran angepaßte Innenfläche aufweist.
2. Hüftgelenkendoprothese nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Pfanneneinsatz (1) durch folgendes Verfahren in die Metallschale (2) eingepaßt ist:
  • - Einschrumpfen,
  • - Einpressen,
  • - Verkeilung mit oder ohne Fixationselemente wie Schrauben oder Keile,
  • - Verschraubung,
  • - Verklemmung,
  • - Verklebung,
  • - Verdeckelung oder
  • - äußere Fixation durch Klemmschellen.
3. Hüftgelenkendoprothese nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Pfanneneinsatz (1) aus einer Keramik hergestellt ist.
