Abstract

Pressed glass article are produced by a press-and-blow process in which the glass is put in a die (6) and a pressure ram (4) first informs the glass to form a pressing which is held under the ram under vacuum and/or by a cover ring (5). The pressing is removed with the ram and cover ring and the mould is replaced by a single or two-part blow mould (7,8). Together with the ram and cover ring, the pressing is lowered into the mould and is blown to form the finished article.

Description

The press-blow process is known in glass forming technology, in the conventional method, however, only the coin range of the article obtained by moving the Mouth shape, while the rest of the container area largely is deformed further.

The purpose of this method according to the invention is to game for the production of spreading discs in the retention essential press shaping areas such as the light distribution structure and maintaining the accuracy of the glass shape of the article in the decisive marginal area on the position of the light structure.

Ein Ausführungsbeispiel ist in der Fig. 1 beschrieben. An exemplary embodiment is described in FIG. 1.

Item 1 shows the article produced by pressing.

Item 2 shows the article removed from the press mold.

Item 3 shows the blow-molded article.

The press ram 4 is shaped in the areas in which an undercut is later to be made in the blow mold 7 , 8 in such a way that a sufficient glass volume is kept available, which covers the undercut in the blow mold 7 , 8 with the corresponding glass requirement. After the pressing process item 1 has been carried out, the glass article is held once by vacuum, which acts on the lower stamp surface with the light structure through the valves 9 which are opened by about 0.1-0.2 mm after the pressing process, and on the other hand the primarily two u. Multi-part designed cover ring 5 , which mainly holds the still deformable designed edge area and guaranties the later shape fidelity to the light structure, brought into the Pos. 2 and exchanged the mold for the blow mold. The movements can also be reversed so that the two molds each have a position and the stamp with the cover ring is transported to the respective molds. After the press axis matches the blow-mold axis, the punch and cover ring are inserted into the two 7, 8 - or more - blow-mold parts, and the vacuum on the valves 9 is replaced by blow-air overpressure, and that deformable glass still adhering to the stamp is blown onto the blow mold wall. After carrying out this process, the article can be cooled internally with air leakage between the stamp and the cover ring by slightly lifting the stamp.

Claims (1)

Glass pressing process with a press-blow stamp for the production of press articles with undercut form areas while maintaining the press structures and shape fidelity characterized in that the glass is placed in a press mold and the press stamp first performs the deformation of a blank according to pressing conditions, then the blank held under the stamp th by vacuum and or through the cover ring, which must be at least two-part to hold with the stamp and the cover ring is removed from the mold, the mold is replaced by a two or more part blow mold, and the glass article with Stamp and cover ring lowered into the blow mold is now inflated to its final shape.
