Abstract

Flat fire protection material is claimed with at least one layer A of water-containing, fibre-reinforced Na silicate and at least one layer B of a flexible open celled foam.

Description

The invention relates to a flat fire dirt material Basis of water-containing, fiber-reinforced sodium silicate, which is provided with a protective layer.

Fire protection materials made from water-containing alkali metal silicates have been known for a long time and are already diverse for the preventive fire protection. They work at high Temperatures such as B. occur in the event of fire, by foam education, volume increase and development of a swelling pressure excellent insulation against fire and smoke, and so lead sealing openings and passages in buildings at. Such materials and processes for their manufacture are z. B. described in DE-B 11 69 832. In the above Documentation is recommended to protect the fire protection panels against the Evaporation of the water through plastic layers, e.g. B. Poly to protect ethylene coatings. However, these are for carbon dioxide permeable, which by chemical reaction the effectiveness of hydrated sodium silicate. According to DE-A 16 21 799 should therefore adhere firmly (coatings made of epoxy resin / hardener Ge mix can be applied to the fire protection panels.

Commercial fire protection panels, e.g. B. PALUSOL from BASF AG maximum 4 mm thick. Problems arise when constructive requires wider component joints or joints with a varying gap wide should be sealed, for example joints on fire protected floor stairs.

These problems are solved if at least one layer A combined from water-containing, fiber-reinforced sodium silicate with at least one layer B of a flexible open cell Foam.

Layer A is generally in the form of plates that e.g. B. 210 cm long, 110 cm wide and 1 to 5 mm thick. These can also be ge to 2 to 10 cm wide strips be cut.

The fire protection material consists of water-containing sodium silicate with a water content of 20 to 50, preferably 25 to 40 wt .-%, for reinforcing glass fibers in amounts of 2 to 20 wt .-% are added. More details on construction and Manufacture of fire protection material are in the mentioned pressure  writings described. The fire protection material is common covered with an epoxy resin coating and with a protective layer, e.g. B. with an aluminum foil or with a polyester film, Laminated with polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride or paper.

Foams made from condensation resins based on Melamine, urea and phenol formaldehyde. Particularly preferred are elastic foams based on melamine resins, like them e.g. B. are described in EP-B 71 672. A suitable foam is z. B. BASOTECT from BASF AG. These foams generally have mean a specific weight of 5 to 100 g / l, in particular from 8 to 20 g / l and a thickness of 5 to 50 mm, preferably from 10 to 30 mm.

Sie erreichen im Brandtest nach DIN 4102 im allgemeinen die Brandschutzklasse B 1.In the fire test according to DIN 4102 you generally achieve the Fire protection class B 1.

In addition to the flexibility effect, the foam brings also its good properties in terms of thermal insulation and Soundproofing on; at the start of the fire, it prevents (continuous use temperatures up to 150 ° C) the passage of toxic smoke gases, in The further course of the fire is blocked by the one that forms at approx. 100 ° C Silicate foam secures the joint against smoke.

A preferred layer sequence is ABA, in some cases sufficient also a two-way network AB; for very wide gaps, a Verbund BAB, ABAB or ABABA can be cheap. Layers A and B can with a double-sided tape or with usual Glue, e.g. B. based on acrylates, rubber or phenol resins are bonded together.
