Abstract

A conveyer chain (1) used in esp. a food processing plant consists of a series of links (2) of round cross-section. Two metal rods (3) pass through the eye of a link (2) at right angles to the plane (4) formed by a plastic moulding (6) interface (4). The projecting ends of the rods (2) are covered left and right of the link by a two-part push-fit plastic moulding (6) incorporating holes for the rods (2) and mirror-image recesses (9) for the chain link (2).
