Description
The invention relates to a chip catcher for drilling in magnetizable Materials, with an essentially pot-shaped drip tray, which in the Bottom has a through hole for the passage of a drill.
In many cases, it is necessary to process chips from drilling avoid contamination of the work area on the spot to catch. This applies, for example, to ventilation and air conditioning systems construction if Bohrar is already in completed residential or business premises be necessary.
From DE 23 41 842 B2 a drip tray for drills is known allowed to lie overhead when drilling in a blanket or other to avoid the place as much as possible that Bohrklein or Bohrspä ne fall into the chuck or into the eyes of the person guiding the drill. With such drip trays there is a risk that the cuttings after the drilling process falls out of the drip tray when the drill is not is kept exactly vertical at all times. Therefore, the well-known collection shell a circumferential, inwardly projecting lip that at least partially prevented, but on the other hand, emptying the drip tray considerably more difficult.
Rock flour, wood chips and the like can also be good in general be captured by suction. This is because of metal chips their relatively high density and weight are not always reliable possible. But metal chips lead to an undesirable Ver pollution, and due to their conductivity they can also cause interference in Data processing systems, control systems and the like fen. Metal drilling chips are also uncomfortable to handle, because they are mostly sharp-edged and with when collecting or catching hand injuries. Since they are in each other who could get caught would be to empty the drip tray of DE 23 41 842 B2 due to the catch lips protruding inwards from the edge difficult.
The invention is therefore based on the object of a chip catcher for drilling create work that is particularly suitable for capturing drilling Chips made of magnetizable metals, in particular iron and steel.
This object is achieved with a chip catcher of the type mentioned at the outset by at least one detachable to the outer surface of the drip tray permanent magnets.
When drilling, the drill is removed from the underside of the drip tray pushed through the through hole and then to the manufacturer the desired hole is attached to the workpiece. Covered up the drip tray the area around the borehole on the workpiece. The ones from Workpieces loosened from the workpiece are held against by the permanent magnet inner surface of the drip tray. When the hole is completed, the Pull the drill out of the through hole in the drip tray. Becomes the permanent magnet is now removed from the outside of the drip tray, see above the drill chips fall off easily, or at least they can fall through light tapping can be removed from the drip tray. The chips left trapping directly on a magnetic surface, however in this case they would have to be laboriously collected from the magnetic surface or be wiped off. The main advantage of the solution according to the invention is that when the magnet is removed from the outer bottom surface of the drip tray, the metal swarf easily from the drip tray let pour out. You can therefore put them in a collection container the.
In a preferred embodiment, the permanent magnet is on or in a holder that removes the cup-shaped drip tray from the outside engages and has a through hole which with the through hole of Collecting tray in the coupled position of the collecting tray and the holder tion escapes.
The holder can in turn be pot-shaped. You can by ei NEN bayonet lock, by a screw thread or by a conical Design with self-locking detachable on the outside of the drip tray be attached.
So that the chips can be caught reliably, the through should hole of the drip tray adapted to the respective drill diameter be. This can be done through different inserts for the different Boh rer diameter can be reached.
Further details and advantages of the invention result from the Unteran sayings.
Im folgenden werden bevorzugte Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung anhand der beigefügten Zeichnung näher erläutert:Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are described below the attached drawing explains:
Fig. 1 zeigt eine erste Ausführungsform eines erfindungsge mäßen Spanfängers in einem Schnitt entlang der Bohrlochachse; Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of an inventive chip catcher in a section along the borehole axis;
Fig. 2 zeigt eine weitere Ausführungsform in einer entspre chenden Darstellung; Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment in a corre sponding representation;
Fig. 3 shows a collecting tray according to the invention with a conical insert.
In Fig. 1, a drip tray 10 is shown with a flat bottom 12 and a slightly conically diverging, circumferential side wall 14 . The bottom and thus the entire drip tray 10 should be circular in the example shown, but a rectangular or a son-solid outline is also possible. In the center of the bottom 12 there is a through hole 16 for receiving a drill 18 . In the example shown in FIG. 1, the drill 18 is directed against the surface 20 of a workpiece, for example a ventilation pipe. The collecting bowl 10 is directed with the upper, open side against the surface 20 of the workpiece and is supported on the workpiece surface. The orientation of the drill 18 , the drip tray 10 and the workpiece ent speaks in practice by no means only that shown in FIG. 1. The drill can be directed against the workpiece from any direction.
On the bottom in Fig. 1 outside of the drip tray 10 is also a cup-shaped bracket 22 is slipped, in which a ring-shaped permanent magnet 24 is embedded. The bracket 22 can be made of plastic. The drip tray 10 itself is preferably made of plastic. The cup-shaped holder 22 has a conical shape which speaks ent essentially the shape of the outer contour of the conical collecting pan 10 ent. In the position shown in FIG. 1, the holder is held on the collecting tray 10 with slight self-locking.
The holder 22 also has a through hole 26 in its center, which is aligned with the through hole 16 of the collecting tray 10 , but can be much larger than this, so that it allows the passage of drills of different sizes.
Fig. 2 shows a drip tray 28 with a flat bottom 30 and a cylindrical, circumferential side wall 32. In the center of the bottom 30 there is again a through hole 34 . A bracket 36 for an annular permanent magnet 38 corresponds essentially to that of FIG. 1, but is not conical, but cylindrical, so that it can be screwed with the help of a Ge pair 40 on the drip pan 28 from the outside. Instead of the thread pairing 40 , for example, a so-called bayonet lock or a suitable latching mechanism can be provided.
The principle shown allows numerous modifications. Instead of an annular permanent magnet of the type of the magnets 24 or 38 , magnets of a different shape, possibly also several individual magnets, can be seen before. The type of releasable attachment of these magnets on the outside of the drip tray is largely arbitrary.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, a drip tray 42 with a flat bottom 44 and a cylindrical side wall 46 is again seen. On the outside of the drip tray 42 is again a holding tion 48 with embedded permanent magnet 50 is placed. In this respect, the embodiment shown largely corresponds to that of FIG. 2. In difference to FIG. 2, however, in the bottom 44 of the drip tray 42, a significantly larger through hole 52 is provided, in which a metal ring 54 made of non-magnetizable material is used for stabilization. The metal ring 54 has an outwardly, ie downward in FIG. 3, widening into the conical surface 56 , which serves to receive a correspondingly conical insert 58 . This insert 58 is provided with a through hole 60 . Inserts of this type can be kept ready for the common drill diameters and can be used together with the corresponding drill. This ensures that there is no free gap between the through hole in the bottom of the drip tray and the drill bit in each case, through which the resulting chips could escape.
