Abstract

The playing mechanism has valves (1-5) over tone apertures. In the rest position, these valves are open. No. 2 valve is operated with the middle finger, No. 3 valve with the ring finger and No. 4 with the little finger, all of the same hand, to close the valves in question. When No. 3 valve is closed, the No. 1 valve closes at the same time. When No. 5 valve is closed, N. 4 valve closes at the same time. This provides an extra valve lift for playing trills.

Description

The game mechanics according to the invention Woodwind instruments consist of a combination of a fork tone with a subsequent open one coupled flap that both all trills in this area without interchangeable handles or Additional mechanics, an intonation and sound clean Gabelton as well as an ergonomically favorable one Application sequence enables.

For a more detailed explanation, reference is made to the drawing. There are five keys with underlying tone holes in descending order in the blowing direction. The flaps have covers to cover the tone holes; rings can also be used for tone holes 2 , 3 and 5 . The 2-key is assigned to the middle finger, the 3-key to the ring finger, the 4-key to the little finger of one hand for pressing and closing the tone holes, the lower tones are operated by the other hand, the pressure points are marked by a cross. All flaps are open in the rest position. When the 2-key is pressed, the 1-key closes, the 3-tone hole remains open, when the 3-key closes, the 1-key closes as well, the 2-tone hole then remains open and generates tone 2 as a fork tone. When the 5-flap is closed, the 4-flap is closed simultaneously via a connection; the 4-flap, conversely, leaves the 5-flap open when it is closed alone. The locking sequences are marked with an arrow.

On the one hand, this ensures that all trills in the range of tones 1 to 5 are played, however, in combination with a 4-key (C # / G #) closed at rest, so that another resonance hole must be provided for the fork tone of the 2-key and an additional flap lever for trill purposes is required to generate the tone 4 . Federal patent no. BS 39 17 837 discloses a 4-flap in the configuration according to the invention, which is assigned a different finger for operation, however, and the mechanism is not combined with the fork tone according to the invention.

Claims (1)

Game mechanics on woodwind instruments characterized in that in a descending tone hole sequence 1 to 5, all tone holes are open when the keys are at rest, the 2 key with the middle finger, the 3 key with the ring finger, the 4 key with the little finger of one hand is pressed to close, and when the 3-flap is closed the 1-flap is closed and when the 5-flap is closed the 4-flap is closed at the same time.
