Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for impregnating wood with Sucrose solution and / or the solution of other substances and pre directions for applying the method, primarily for handling wood cuts.
Through this impregnation in the surface layers, the wood should protected and preserved against external influences and the surface sterilized and naturally glazed.
According to the preamble, methods are known in which the wood for this purpose is placed in an appropriate solution bath, which, as is known, can also take place under pressure.
The disadvantage here is that the wood in over a long period this solution bath must be in order to achieve the required impregnation to experience. Even in spite of the pressure effect, the intrusion of the saccha rose solution hampered by the unresolved surface. In addition there is no sterilization by heat in the surface layer ten.
The object of the invention is to force the impregnation process to intensify the impregnation effect and the surface to be glazed and sterilized at the same time by heat.
According to the invention this object is achieved in that the wooden parts in a container first briefly with dry steam (is overheated Steam) to heat the surface layers and to sterilize. The interior of the container is flushed out, in standing air mass expelled and so an inert, oxida inside Anti-vapor dry atmosphere created. There is steam inlet and outlet open. After closing the steam outlet, ei slight pressure build-up and subsequent closing of the steam inlet ses, the wood is vacuum impregnated by autogenous vacuum effect. This vacuum effect using vacuum creates that cool to cold sucrose solution and / or the solution otherwise ger substances in which dry steam atmosphere is sprayed finely. This will suddenly condense the existing dam caused by precipitation on the mist-shaped droplets of Sucrose solution. These are thus immediately heated, broken zen in the vacuum state created by steam condensation and are also distributed evenly and microfine in the entire interior of the container. Ent with steam condensation standing vacuum also causes a lowering of the boiling point, whereby evaporation in the heated surface layers of the wood the liquid components is promoted. These become steam-resistant mig and directly through the vacuum effect, from the capillary intermediate vacuumed in the surface layers. In this ent existing empty spaces are now, with continued spraying of the Sucrose solution, the now prevailing internal atmosphere sphere, micro-fine droplets of sucrose until pressure equalization Solution sucked in and filled these empty spaces with it. In the container inside are almost exclusively these volatile droplets as atmospheric content available until pressure equalization moderately increasing. This results in an undef within seconds efficient impregnation, sterilization and glazing.
Dry steam is superheated steam. This is done conventionally generated steam overheated to advantage in countercurrent heating. Depending on the heat tolerance of the individual types of wood, mä steam with a moderate temperature can be used, but with less steam effect.
The device for applying the method preferably exists from two, cylindrical collapsible shells with all around the seal and external thermal insulation. They are tilting or rotating arranged movably.
For pressure stabilization and as a spacing pad, the Be The inside surface of the relationship is provided with transverse ribs, which are comb-shaped are pointed.
Because of the container wall, at least one is highly heat-resistant Dry steam inlet with valve and outlet with valve installed and a drain with valve.
There are also spray nozzles to insert through the container wall the sucrose solution attached with valve-controlled feed.
The advantages of the invention are particularly in the seconds len vacuum impregnation can be seen, the surface layers of the wood by means of forced moisture evaporation Vacuum and efficient suction using the vacuum effect, po is designed red. Immediately sucking in the micro there fine droplets of sucrose solution, which is now predominant, in standing atmosphere, is the logical consequence up to pressure equal. Another advantage is the prior sterilization of the surface layers, which also makes them a microbiel Protection is ensured and with simple means and absolutely environmentally friendly.
