Description

Eine Rasenschutzwabe aus Kunststoff ist aus der EP-A-455 260 bekannt. Sie besteht aus einer oberen, wabenartigen Zellstruktur mit prismatischen, nach oben offenen Zellen und einer mit dieser Zellstruktur verbundenen Bodenplatte. Bei jeder Knotenstelle der Zellstruktur haben die Zellenwände Aussparungen, die ein Durchwachsen des Wurzelwerks ermöglichen. Diese Aussparungen erstrecken sich etwa über zwei Drittel der Zellenhöhe. Allerdings schwächen diese Aussparungen die Zellstruktur erheblich, so daß entweder große Wandstärken erfor­ derlich sind oder nur eine geringe Tragfähigkeit erreicht wird. Die Rasenschutzwabe 1 ist einstückig aus Kunststoff spritzgegossen, vorzugsweise aus re­ cycliertem Polyethylen. Sie hat einen rechteckigen Grundriß von vorzugsweise etwa 40 cm × 60 cm Kantenlänge. In Fig. 1 sind Ausschnitte dieser Rasenschutzwabe dargestellt. Sie besteht aus einer oberen Wabenstruktur 2 mit in einem regelmäßigen Raster angeordneten, gleichseitig sechskantigen prismatischen Zellen 3 mit Zellwänden 4 und einer ebenfalls im gleichen aber verschoben angeordneten sechseckigen Raster angeordneten Grundstruktur 5. Die Grundstruktur 5 besteht aus Tragelementen gebildet aus gegen oben offenen U-Profilen 6, welche zwischen sich sechseckige Öffnungen 7 bilden. Die Öffnungen 7 sind in Knotenpunkten 8 der Wabenstruktur 2 zentriert. Dadurch wird gleichzeitig eine Verbin­ dung benachbarter Zellen 3 miteinander zur Durchwurzelung, zum Nährstoff- und Flüssig­ keitsaustausch sowie zur Entwässerung nach unten gebildet, ohne daß die Zellwände 4 durch Übertrittsöffnungen geschwächt werden. Durch die U-Profile 6 wird eine sehr stabi­ le, tragfähige und materialsparende Struktur erreicht. Außerdem wird erreicht, daß die Öffnungen 7 großflächig sind, was begrünungstechnisch von Vorteil ist, weil eine bessere Durchwurzelung nach unten möglich ist.The grass protection honeycomb 1 is injection-molded in one piece from plastic, preferably from re-cycled polyethylene.
