The invention relates to a protective helmet with a helmet shell and with at least one essentially transversely in the helmet shell extending belt to rest on the head of the User at a distance from a helmet inner wall of the protective helmet, the belt end-mounted fasteners, such as Belt hanger or the like., Which in z. B. in the direction of Helmet rim open and z. B. provided on the helmet inner wall Recordings, such as pockets or the like, can be inserted.
Such protective helmets are known and come especially in Construction, in industrial plants, at the fire brigade, technical support services or the like. Although the braced in the helmet, lie on the head of the wearer the straps have a certain elasticity and thus a shock load on the helmet shell a part of the Absorb the kinetic energy acting on the head of the wearer conventional protective helmets still exist Risk of injury to the helmet wearer due to impact transmission the head.
The invention has for its object the known Protective helmet to continue training that the injury risk of wearing the helmet even when subjected to heavy loads or load, for example due to the impact of the helmet shell is reduced.
This task is performed with a protective helmet of the type mentioned Kind essentially solved in that in the recording preferably reversibly deformable and / or compressible Absorption element is arranged, against which the Fasteners supported.
The absorption element absorbs in the event of a Beauf slap the helmet shell onto the wearer's head acting kinetic energy through targeted deformation or compression. As tests have shown, one Comparison between the conventional suspension of the helmet inner equipment on the helmet shell and an inventive Suspension by means of the absorption element a significantly flatter course of the force-time diagram be determined. One can be derived from these measured values clear reduction of the impact on the head of the Helmet wearer derive if such absorption elements are used according to the invention. From this also follows one corresponding reduction in the risk of injury to the Helmet wearer.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention Absorption element as insertable into the receptacle Intermediate piece formed. The absorption element is thus easy to mount interchangeably on the helmet shell, taking it no additional measures to fix the absorption element needs.
According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention the absorption element is made of elastic material, which indicates maximum absorption of kinetic energy is designed. This measure achieves that in the case an exposure to the helmet shell a maximum of the Head of the carrier acting kinetic energy from the Absorbent element is added.
The absorption element advantageously has a flat distribution arranged material weakenings and / or recesses and / or breakthroughs. This configuration allows one favorable influence on the course of the force the head of the helmet wearer when the helmet shell is applied.
The absorption element is advantageous as a flat element with meandering surface structure and / or meandering Cross-sectional profile formed. In addition to a simple manufacture Availability of the absorption element designed in this way a meandering surface structure or a meandering Cross-sectional profile to an optimum in terms of ability of the absorption element, kinetic energy through targeted Absorb deformation.
The absorption element advantageously consists of several at a distance from each other, arranged crossbars end connecting webs preferably in the manner of a Meanders are connected.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, this is Absorbent element designed as a plate on her Front and / or back several adjacent and / or Grooved recesses arranged on both sides having.
According to another advantageous feature of the invention the inclusion of two, in particular L-shaped guides, with which the absorption element on the helmet inner wall can be detached is definable.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention is the absorption element by means of an abutment in the Recording against moving set. Anderenends liegt der in die Einstecktasche 22 eingesteckte Gurthänger 18 flächig an dem Absorptionselement 24 an.The protective helmet 10 shown has a helmet shell 12 and a strap 14 which extends substantially transversely in the helmet shell 12 . As a rule, several such belts 14 , which intersect in the center of the helmet shell 12, are provided, which are intended to rest on the head of the user of the protective helmet 10 . The belt or belts 14 run at a distance from an upper inner helmet wall 16 of the protective helmet 10 in order to absorb shocks. The belt 14 is fastened to the side helmet inner wall 16 with fastening means 18 , such as a belt hanger, attached at the end. For this purpose, open in the direction of the helmet rim 20 , provided on the helmet inner wall 16 , for. B. trained as insertion pockets 22 are provided, in which the belt hanger 18 can be inserted. The receptacles 22 are formed by two L-shaped guides 42 , 44 which overlap the side lugs 50 provided on the belt hanger 18 . On the side of the insertion pocket 22 facing away from the helmet rim 20 , an abutment 46 is provided, which is formed by retaining ribs 48 arranged on the helmet inner wall 16 in an upper end region of the guides 42 , 44 . In the receptacle 22 between the guides 42 , 44 , a reversibly deformable and / or compressible absorption element 24 is arranged, which is supported upward on the holding ribs 48 . At the other end, the belt hanger 18 inserted into the insertion pocket 22 lies flat against the absorption element 24 .
The absorption element 24 is thus designed as an intermediate piece which can be inserted into the receptacle 22 . The absorption element 24 consists of an elastic material which is designed for maximum absorption of kinetic energy. In order to ensure targeted deformation or compression, the absorption element 24 is designed as a flat element with a meandering surface structure and / or a meandering cross-sectional profile.
According to the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 2, the absorption element 24 consists of a plurality of transverse webs 26 arranged at a distance from one another. Adjacent transverse webs 26 are mutually and bilaterally connected via connecting webs 28 in the manner of a meander 30 to one another.
According to the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 4, the absorption element 24 is designed as a plate 32 which has on its front and back 34 , 36 a plurality of adjacent and mutually offset groove-shaped recesses 38 . Overall, the absorption element 24 of FIGS. 3 and 4 thus has a meandering cross-sectional profile. In addition to such material weakenings or recesses 38 , openings 40 or the like can also be provided, with which a targeted deformation or compression of the absorption element 24 is ensured due to the action of the helmet shell 12 .
If the helmet shell 12 is subjected to a shock or impact, then, when the absorption element 24 is used according to the invention, this force is not transmitted directly to the belt or belts 14 and thus to the head of the wearer. Because the absorption element 24 is selectively deformable or compressible, a large part of the energy acting on the helmet shell 12 when subjected to stress is absorbed by the absorption element 24 . This results in a significant reduction in the transmission of shock to the head of the helmet wearer and a corresponding reduction in the risk of injury.
Effects on the course of the action of force or the degree of energy absorption of the absorption element 24 result not only in the offset arrangement of the transverse webs of the absorption element, but also in the choice of the material used, which preferably consists of an elastic material.
