Dadurch ist es möglich, den Geräuschpegel im Fahrzeuginnenraum lokal im Kopfbereich des entsprechenden Fahrzeuginsassen zu reduzieren, wodurch insbesondere bei Lastkraftwagen ein erhöhter Fahrkomfort erzielt wird. Durch die lokale Schalldämmung im Kopfbereich des Fahrzeuginsassen mit Hilfe der erfindungsgemäßen Schutzhaube ist es auch möglich, bislang in Kraftfahrzeugen, insbesondere in Lastkraftwagen, notwendige Schalldämmungsmaßnahmen zu reduzieren, wodurch auch entsprechende Schalldämmungsmaterialien verringert werden können.
