Abstract

The intestinal tube (9) has an integrated threaded flange (1,2) at one end on to which a faeces collecting bag is fixed. The system is sealed by means of a natural rubber ring positioned under the threaded flange. The intestinal tube is provide with inflatable air chambers (4,) which are separated from each other by a section (8) of the tube which allows for a certain movement of the tube. The air chambers are made fairly wide to avoid excessive pressure on the mucous membranes. Faeces pass through side openings in the tube and are safely collected in the bag.
