Faservlies für .medizinische oder hygienische Zwecke Fiber fleece for medical or hygienic purposes
Nonwovens for medical or hygienic purposes consist of fibers, usually made of cotton or viscose wool fibers, the position of which has a preferred direction and usually low Amounts of binder. The strength of such fiber fleeces is therefore lower across this direction. The term fiber fleece is understood here in principle to mean all so-called non-woven products.
When used for medical or hygienic purposes, fiber fleeces have the advantage that they are considerable are cheaper than woven fabrics but have the disadvantage that they have a greater impact on the skin when dry Cause heat build-up as tissue, and that after moisture penetration they lie so tightly on the skin that the Breathability of the skin is significantly impaired. Another disadvantage of the nonwovens is theirs low transverse strength.
The invention aims to overcome these disadvantages of fiber webs to prevent. According to the invention, the fiber fleece consists not only of fibers but also of fibers from pieces of twisted thread, and its binding agent content is - if at all - a binding agent is present - so small that the twisted threads can change their position when wetted with water. The twisted threads are preferably made of cotton or rayon fibers or mixtures thereof.

If these pieces of overturned filament do not have a preferred direction, they determine essentially the transverse strength of the fiber fleece and thus increase it considerably.
When such a fiber fleece is wetted, the twisted threads tend to close in their position change and thereby move fibers in contact with each other. This change in twist will occur upon drying essentially reversed. As a result, such a nonwoven fabric, which in dry state lies in a plane, in places more or less out of this plane. One on The nonwoven fabric according to the invention lying on the skin will therefore, for example, be affected by sweat is wetted, lift off the skin in places.
Die)Drehung der Fäden ist vorzugsweise mindestens 1000 beispielsweise 1200.The fiber content of such a fiber fleece can preferably consist of 10 to 30% of twisted threads. The twisted threads can have a length of a few centimeters to a few decimeters, corresponding to the width of the fleece. The rotation of the threads is preferably at least 1000, for example 1200.
Preferably, the pieces of the twisted threads are attached in the manufacture of the nonwoven so that they are predominantly more or less perpendicular to the preferred direction of the fibers. In particular the twisted threads can lie in the direction of the width of the fleece and their length so great be like the width of the fleece. To increase the transverse strength of the fleece, it can be provided with quilting seams The quilting threads can consist of twisted threads.

Nonwovens according to the invention are perceived as being cooler on the skin compared to conventional ones Nonwovens. This cooling effect can be increased by dyeing the fiber fleece purple will. The coloration in dark purple is particularly useful; also a coloring in one other dark colors increase the cooling effect. But black is not here as Color to look at.
Die Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung veranschaulicht. The invention is illustrated in the drawing.
In Fig. 1, the fleece consists of staple fibers 1, preferably cellulose fibers, and pieces of twisted threads. 2. Quilted seams are denoted by 3. The thread pieces 2 take up about 15 to 30 % of the weight of the fleece.
In Fig. 2, the twisted threads 4 are in the direction of the width of the fiber fleece, the fibers 1 in the lie essentially in the longitudinal direction of the fleece. The length of the. Threads 4 is equal to the width of the Fleece.
