Wird aber an der Quaste o. dgl. gezogen und die Bügelenden durch die Bänder b gegeneinander gezogen oder wird mit der Hand ein Druck gegen die Seitenkanten der Tasche und somit gegen den federnden Bügel ausgeübt, so öffnet sich die Tasche und die Uhr kann dann leicht eingelegt und entnommen werden, während sie aber sonst infolge des durch die Feder f hervorgerufenen Verschlusses in der Tasche festgehalten wird, so daß sie von anderen Personen wenigstens nicht unbemerkt herausgezogen, noch weniger aber verloren werden kann. Die Anhängemittel für die Tasche können aus Riemen, Bändern oder Ketten oder aus von Bändern umkleideten Ketten bestehen und am Gürtel o. dgl. durch eine sichere Verschlußvorrichtung befestigt werden.
