In der Platte g befindet sich ein Schlitz, welcher breit genug ist, um die Achse d in sich aufnehmen zu können. Auf dieser Achse d ist die Spule für das Farbband sowie das Schaltrad h fest angeordnet. An vier entsprechenden Stellen e ist die Platte g mit Augen versehen, welche zwei Lager für die Glieder / und f_x bilden, die abwechselnd als Schalt- und Sperrglied dienen. Wird die Platte g nach der einen Seite bewegt, beispielsweise gemäß Fig. 1 nach der Achse d hin, so greift das Glied f_x in eine Zahnlücke des Schaltrades h ein und bewegt das Schaltrad in der durch den Pfeil in Fig. 1 angedeuteten Richtung, während das Glied f über die schräge Fläche der Zähne hinweggleitet und gleichzeitig ein Zurückbewegen des Schaltrades h verhütet. Bewegt sich die Platte g in der entgegengesetzten Richtung, so greift das Glied/ in eine Zahnlücke ein und nimmt das Schaltrad h wieder in der durch den Pfeil angedeuteten Richtung mit, während diesmal das Glied J_x über die schräge Fläche der Zähne hinweggleitet und zur Sperrung gegen etwaiges Zurückgehen des Schaltrades dient. Die Glieder/ und f_x liegen durch ihr Eigengewicht auf den Zähnen des Schaltrades h, indessen ist die Platte g so eingerichtet, daß beim Heben derselben die Abwärtsbewegung der Glieder / und/j eine Begrenzung hat, wie aus Fig. 2 zu sehen ist.
