Der Stiel ist an seinem oberen Ende mit einem Handgriff versehen, der mit jenem einen Winkel von etwa 3o - 45 Grad bildet. Dadurch wird eine bequeme Handhabung ermöglicht. Als Verbindung zwischen Stiel und Schaufelblatt dient ein Kugelgelenk.
