Einteilige Rosetten sind verständlicherweise nur bei der Erstmontage zu verwenden, während für den späteren Einbau geschlossene ringförmige Rosetten unbrauchbar sind. Metallrosetten haben vor allem den Nachteil, daß sie mechanische Schwingungen übertragen und hierdurch sehr leicht die Wände beschädigen können. Ein sattes anliegen der metallischen Rosette ist in den meisten Fällen auch nicht zu erreichen.
