Die Neuerung betrifft einen Abdeckring für Kraftfahrzeuge, der aus durchsichtigem
Kunststoff besteht und verspiegelt ist.
Neuerungsgemäß ist in den Abdeckring ein Stützring aus Metallblech

eingesetzt. Dieser Stützring hat den Zwecke den Kunststoffring zu verstärken und
kann gleichzeitig die Verbindung des Abdeckringes
mit der Karosserle übernehmen. Die Befestigung des Stützringes

halb des Abdeckringes erfolgt entweder dadurch, daß einzelne vorstehende Nocken
des Abdeckringes den Stützring durchsetzen und umgebügelt werden, so daß eine nietähnliche
Verbindung entsteht oder aber der Stützring umgreift die Innenkante des Abdeckringes
und wird dort in bekannter Weise verschweißt. Eine weitere Befestigungsmöglichkeit
besteht darin, an einzelnen Stellen der Außenseite des Abdeckringes Zierplatten
einzulassen, die durch die Wand des Abdeckringes hindurch mit dem Stützring vernietet
sind. In diesem Falle dient das entsprechend ausgestaltete freie Ende der Zierplatte
als Befestigungswinkel.

dankens und zwar stellt Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch den Abdeckring mit eingesetztem
Stützring dar, während die

Der aus durchsichtigem Kunststoff bestehende Abdeckring 1. der
innen verspiegelt ist, weist einen Stützring 2 auf, der in eine Einhängeöse 3 ausläuft.
Die Verbindung des Stützringes mit dem Abdeckring erfolgt in diesem Falle durch
Nocken 4, die den Stützring durchsetzen und nietkopfähnlich umgebügelt sind. Die
Befestigung des Stützringes 6 nach Figur 2 erfolgt dadurch, daß
das freie Ende 7 des Stützringes die Innenkante 8 des Abdeckrin-
