Die Vorrichtung besteht aus zwei mit Kautschuk überzogenen Eisenrollen α und b. Die Rolle α ist mit dem zur Befestigung dienenden Winkel c aus einem Stück gegossen, und wird der Kautschukring noch mit einer vorgeschraubten Eisenplatte festgehalten. Die Rolle b ist lose und hat einen excentrischen Drehpunkt; dieselbe ist der Rolle α gegenüber, einen kleinen Zwischenraum für den Riemen lassend, aufgeschraubt. Beim gröfsten Zwischenraum der beiden Rollen liegt die bewegliche Rolle b an dem Stift d an. Die Vorrichtung läfst den Riemen nur in der Richtung von oben nach unten durchgehen; in entgegengesetzter Richtung wird derselbe durch Mitnahme der excentrisch gelagerten Rolle b fest an die Rolle α gedrückt.The device consists of two rubber-coated iron rollers α and b.
