Die bisher bekannten Vogels und Wildscheuchen haben den Nachteil, daß sie Vögel
und Kleinwild von den zu schützenden Kulturen nur eine gewisse Zeit abhalten, da

The previously known birds and wild scarecrows have the disadvantage that they are birds
and keep small game from the crops to be protected only for a certain period of time
they consistently do not simulate a living being.
Die meisten Vogel und Wildscheuchen werden bewegungslos angebracht
und wirken nur für kurze Zeit, da die Tierwelt sich rasch an sie gewöhnt. Besser
wirken die bekannten Metallfolien durch ihr Flattern im Wind und ihr Knittergeräusch,
aber auch sie sind nur kurze Zeit wirksam, da sie vom Wind zerrissen und fortgetragen
werden.
Neuerdings soll die Vogel. und Wildscheuche aus wetterfester,
aufblasbarer Kunststoff-Folie in abschreckenden Raubtier-und
Drachenformen hergestellt werden. Die abschreckende Wirkung wird durch groteske
Zeichnung und Bemalung mit grellen Farben, bei Wildscheuchen durch Leuchtfarben
erhöht. Die Figuren werden in einem Freihangpendel aus Kunststoffschnur befestigt,
wobei die Verbindung von Pendel und Figur durch eine Einhängevorrichtung und einen
Doppelwirbel hergestellt wird. Durch diesen Doppelwirbel wird erreicht, daß die
Vogel-und Wildscheuche nach allen Seiten beweglich ist und somit schon bei geringer
Luftströmung Leben vortäuscht.
