Abstract

306,746. Akers, R. E. A., (trading as Standard Manufacturing & Supply Co.). April 3, 1928. Bird scares.-A device for scaring birds consists of a sheet or plate shaped to represent a cat's head or other object and fitted with one or more pieces of glass resembling eyes. The metal sheet a may be coloured black, and a mouth and whiskers may be painted on it in white or luminous paint. The word " Glitterer " may be painted on both sides in the position shown. The eyes are represented by pale green glass bells b placed in holes in the plate and held in position by tongues c. Glass bodies of hemispherical or other shapes may be used. According to the Provisional Specification the glass balls may be held in place by other means.
