Die ursprüngliche Aufzeichnung wird dabei an den Einblendstellen auf das gewünschte Maß geschwächt. Hierbei ist nun ungünstig, daß diese beiden Aufnahmen nicht mehr voneinander zu trennen sind, ist die Zweitaufnahme aus irgendeinem Grunde unbrauchbar, z.B. durch Versprechen des Bedienenden, so müssen beide Aufnahmen gelöscht und auch die Erstaufnahme erneuert werden. In dieser Schaltstellung sind die mit den Eingängen der ein Mischpult bildenden Regler P₁ und Pp verbundenen Magnetköpfe HKj und HSKj₁- über den Verstärker NF mit dem Sprechkopf SKj verbunden. Der Löschkopf LKj erhält seinen vollen Löschstrom, so daß nach Löschung der Information der Spur I beide Informationen in der gelöschten Spur I vereinigt neu aufgezeichnet werden.
