In der Praxis hat ■ sich jedoch herausgestellt, daß, wenn solche Stoffe mit dem Grundstoff zusammengeschmolzen werden, um die Masse in. Stücke von geeigneter Gestalt zu formen, beim Kühlen Verluste an diesen Stoffen durch Verdampfen bezw. Verflüchtigung eintreten. Diese Verluste sind um so größer, in je größeren Mengen die Stoffe verarbeitet werden. Überdies verbreiten solche zugemischten Bestandteile in manchen Fällen Gerüche, die viele Leute nicht vertragen. So z. B. ist der Geruch der Karbolsäure für manche Leute unerträglich, für andere der des Eukalyptusöles. Eine Tafel o. dgl., die den einen oder anderen Stoff enthält, ist daher nicht allgemein verwertbar und angenehm.
