The invention relates to an improvement on the J5 Invention of the additional patent 15 29 305), which is a transparent, metallized and adhesive-coated Covering film for glass panes to reduce glare and the heat permeability of Window panes affects the ones on the see-through -so ge plastic layer applied metal layer evenly with a protective coating made of plastic is coated, which can optionally be assigned a lightfast color layer, and with the Glass pane to be joined adhesive layer can be activated by water, according to Patent 12 94 613, wherein the transparent, water-insoluble protective coating is at least 10,000 A thick. The preferred training is in the additional patent proposed a transparent cover film, the more transparent, water-insoluble Protective coating made of polyalkylene terephthalate, polyethylene isophthalate or an ethylene terephthalate-ethylene isophthalate copolymer consists.
B. die Fensterscheibe, aufgebracht und leichter wieder entfernt werden kann, ohne daß gesonderte Dampfungs- oder Aufweichungsarbeitsgänge notwendig werden. eoThe present invention aims to improve the coating films there, in particular in this regard going that this desired coating film in a simpler way on a sheet of glass, for. B. the Window pane, can be applied and removed again more easily without the need for separate damping or softening operations become necessary. eo
Bevorzugte Ausgestaltungen dieser Überzugsfolie bilden den Gegenstand di:r Unteransp"-üche2bis4.For this purpose, the transparent, metallized and adhesive-coated specified in claim I is used Cover film proposed. Preferred configurations of this cover film form the subject matter di: r Unterresp "-üche2bis4.
It has been found that the coating films are further improved according to the above-mentioned additional patent when the adhesive is a normally tacky and pressure-sensitive adhesive and there is a thin, uniform coating of water-soluble material over it.
Die Überzugsfolie der Erfindung zur Verwendung als durchsichtiger, reflektierender Überzug für Glasoberflächen weist einen biegsamen, durchsichtigen Überzug auf, auf den in SchichtanordnungThe coating film of the invention for use as a clear, reflective coating for glass surfaces has a pliable, clear coating on which it is laminated
(1) eine Metallabscheidung, von der zwec,';mäßigerweise mindestens 50% der Sonnenstrahlen im infraroten und ultravioletten Spektralbereich reflektiert werden, während die Durchlässigkeit des Films für den sichtbaren Anteil des Spektrums auf 10 bis 80%, verglichen mit der Durchlässigkeit vor dem Aufbringen der Metallschicht vermindert wird,(1) a metal deposit, of which two, moderately at least 50% of the sun's rays in the infrared and ultraviolet spectral range are reflected, while the transmittance of the Film for the visible portion of the spectrum to 10 to 80% compared with the transmittance before the application of the metal layer is reduced,

The cover sheet of the invention is like that of the main patent can be wound around itself in roll form and easily unwound again. she can be moistened in the same way and easily in the desired position by sliding on a window to be brought. If, however, afterwards carefully over the sheet material with a rubber knife (Squeezer) is brushed from the center of the sheet to the outer edge, the water-soluble Material removed, with the sheet material stuck to the glass with the help of the pressure sensitive adhesive adheres.
As a transparent base for the production of the folk cover according to the invention, it is expedient to use a flexible film made of biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate was used. Such coating films are illustrated by the following examples.
To apply the cover film to window panes, you can successively on the surface of the water-soluble material of the cover film give water, whereby the material has a tendency to Dissolving and its surface is made slippery becomes the slippery surface of the cover sheet brought into uniform contact with the disc over the entire common surface area, the exposed surface of the material then squeezed off to remove the excess water and water soluble To remove material, the remaining water evaporates, causing the pressure-sensitive adhesive is brought into firm contact with the disc.

Die Schicht 22 ist ihrerseits mit der Schutzschicht 23, der Grundierungsschicht 24, dem druckempfindlichen KIebemittel 25 und der wasserlöslichen Schicht 26 überzogen.has a transparent polymer film base 21, one side of which is covered with a thin transparent one and reflective metal layer 22 is coated. The layer 22 is in turn with the protective layer 23, the Primer layer 24, pressure sensitive adhesive 25 and water soluble layer 26 overdrawn.
A 0.0254 mm thick, biaxially oriented Polyäthy- ι ο lenterephthalate film with a width of 122 cm was vapor-coated with aluminum up to a metal thickness of about 125 Å using the usual procedures, whereby the light transmission at a wavelength of 5500 Å to about 10 % of the value of the uncoated film, measured with a Beckmann DK-2 spectrophotometer, was decreased. An 8% solution of a separating layer was then applied over the metal, consisting of a copolymer of ethylene terephthalate and ethylene isophthalate in a ratio of 1: 1, containing 0.75% by weight of 2,2'-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone (an absorber The agent for UV light) was 1,1,2-trichloroethane, the total weight of the dry coating being about 0.42 mg / cm 2 .
The solvent was then evaporated. The light transmission at 5500 A of the metallized, with The film coated on the release layer was 18% of the value measured for the clear film. The coated one Film was then cut to a width of 61 cm th.
Die Grundierungsschicht besaß folgende Zusammensetzung:A thin layer of primer was applied over the release coated film in an amount of about 0.042 mg / cm 2. The primer layer had the following composition:

The solvent of the primer layer was then evaporated, and an ethyl acetate-heptane solution of isooctyl acrylate-acrylamide copolymer in the ratio 96: 4 was applied as a pressure-sensitive adhesive in such an amount that about 1.26 mg / cm 2 after evaporation of the Solvent remained.
A water-soluble film with a weight of about 0.04 to 0.06 mg / cm 2 was prepared separately by adding 5-, 4% strength aqueous solution of a copolymer of vinyl ether and maleic acid (hydrolyzed form of a copolymer of vinyl methyl ether and maleic anhydride), containing 1% of a wetting agent (polyoxyethylene glycol adduct of nonylphenol), based on the solids present, poured onto a temporary carrier sheet made of a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film, the water evaporates and the laminate would be wound around itself in roll form A copolymer film of vinyl ether and maleic acid was then transferred to the surface of the normally pressure sensitive adhesive by contacting it and then removing the polyethylene terephthalate backing sheet. The resulting product could be wound on itself in a roll, very easily unwound, and conveniently be handled without that there was an adverse effect on the product.
If optical clarity is less critical, the layer of water-soluble material can be in situ can be formed by placing a solution thereof directly on the surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive applies.
A sheet measuring 61 cm 137 cm The material made in this example was moistened with water on a clean window pane placed, brought into the desired position and squeezed off to remove the excess of water and remove water-soluble adhesive. The sheet material was in uniform contact with the Glass, however, could be removed if desired. After drying for a period of about The edges of the product were firm for 2 hours bound. After 3 days, all of the product had bonded tightly to the window. Unlike the products according to the previous S: md der Technik, which only use water-soluble adhesives were used, this product could be removed by peeling it off the window without separate steaming or softening modes of operation, what its replacement facilitated.
A white, translucent, 0.0254 cm thick, polyethylene terephthalate film that is 5 to 1.0% by weight fine dispersed titanium dioxide was mixed with the primer, pressure-sensitive adhesive and the water-soluble coating as in Example 1 coated. The product obtained showed the same Behavior like that of example 1, but was more translucent than transparent, switched off glare completely and still let about 30% of the visible light through, which means a higher transmission than that of the product of Example 1. When applied to a window, the complete drying within one day.
A similar product as in Example 1 was prepared, with the modification that instead of the clear, with metal vapor-coated polyethylene terephthalate film a white, with metal vapor-coated, translucent polyethylene terephthalate film was used. The product obtained, which is both was translucent as well as very effective in reducing the transmission of radiant energy, was particularly useful for use in factories. Ceiling windows or other places where transparency is either redundant or undesirable.
The film bases described in the preceding examples are more suitable by incorporating them Amounts of blue, gray, green, or other dye can be colored into the polyester film.

B. Casein. Polyvinylpyrrolidon. Gelatine. Tischlerleim. Stärke. The copolymer used as the water-soluble material can also be used from vinyl ether and maleic acid either in the form of the acidic polymer or as the ammonium salt thereof are present. Other materials are e.g. B. Casein. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone. Gelatin. Carpentry glue. Strength. Methyl cellulose and carboxymethyl cellulose, the latter two being particularly good film formers are.
It has been found that normally as little as 0.04 mg / cm 2 of the water-soluble material effectively prevents the structure from becoming sticky, while nevertheless allowing easy implementation. The optimal amount of water soluble material required is directly related to factors such as the thickness and / or tackiness of the pressure sensitive material used. Water soluble material which is substantially incompatible with your pressure sensitive adhesive. is preferred as the latter is effectively covered for extended periods of time. without being adversely affected. The maximum amount of water soluble adhesive that can be used seems! being limited primarily in terms of economy and convenience. There is no particular advantage in increasing the amount of this material, especially not because most of it has to be squeezed out when applied to the edges of the sheet material: an amount of 0.8 mg.'Vm- 'is satisfactory. With higher reference weights, some problems can arise, since these coatings then show a tendency to crack or breakage, especially if they are applied directly to the pressure-sensitive adhesive surface and not separately produced and transferred to it.
