Die bisher in der Elektro-Therapie angewendeten Elektroden aus Metall oder Kohle haben den Nachtheil, dafs sie durch die nothwendige Anfeuchtung und durch die Einwirkung des galvanischen Stromes oxydiren; die ersteren auf ihrer Fläche, die letzteren in ihren Haltern. Die Elektroden müssen daher oftmals von der Oxydschicht befreit werden, wenn sie tadellos leiten sollen.The electrodes made of metal or carbon so far used in electro therapy have the disadvantage that they are caused by the necessary moistening and by the action of the oxidize galvanic current; the former on their surface, the latter in their holders.
