F i g. 5 b zeigt die geschlossenen Kontaktteile. In Fig. 3 shows the reader after the card 3 has been inserted so that it engages the part 116 of the latching member 106 and this has been moved downwards in order to release the part 35 and thus the eccentric 31. After the eccentric 31 has been released, it is actuated by the spring 39 in FIG. 3 rotated counterclockwise into a position in which the pin 33 engages the left end of the slot 57. When the eccentric 31 is rotated in the eccentric surface 52, the pressure plate 40 and thus also the card 3 are moved to the left. Further, when the arm 35 moves counterclockwise after being released by the latch member 106, the arm 35 engages the rod 74 and moves it to the right so that the links 68 are rotated counterclockwise against the force of the spring 76. This movement pulls the control slide 90 to the right, so that the stop 155 on its underside enters the groove formed by the surface 102 and the slide 140 therefore falls down. 7a shows the relative position of the contact part 172 of a sensing element 164 with respect to a contact 132 just before actuation, the contact parts being open. F i g. 7b shows the beginning of the contact between a contact part 172 and a contact 132. The lever linkage is set so that the in F i g. The contact shown in FIG. 7 b takes place before each vertical movement which the carriage executes as a result of the stop 155 entering the transverse groove 100. F i g. 7c shows the grinding effect brought about by the fact that the slide 140 falls vertically when the stop 155 moves until it comes into contact with the surface 102. F i g. 5 b shows the closed contact parts. It can be seen that the ends of the scanning elements cannot get caught on the card. In the case of the FIG. 2 and 3, the control slide 90 moves further to the right until the stop 155 hits the surface 104 . As a result, the in F i g. 7 d brought about the grinding effect shown, which is almost the opposite of the grinding effect shown in Fig. 7 c. While the carriage 140 is moved under de r effect of the pressure plate 40 to the left, d <e are scanning elements 164 of FIG. 7c deflected such that its contact members 172 reach the contacts 132 with a zone in contact to the previously a grinding effect has been exercised.
The lever linkage can be adjusted by a few turns of the thread 86 in such a way that the control slide 90 from the position shown in FIG. 2 is shifted to the right, so that the abutment 155 rests on the central surface 104 in the normal position. When the reader is actuated, the carriage 140 carrying the contacts 132 is then moved to the left, so that the contact elements from the position shown in FIG. 8 a into the open position shown in FIG. 8 b position shown are moved, in which the contact begins. When the slide 140 is then pulled to the right, the stop 155 reaches the left end of the surface 102 and is thereby moved upward onto the top of the control slide 90, with the steps shown in FIG. 8 c illustrated grinding movement is achieved. This grinding movement can be carried out using the method shown in FIGS. 7 b to 7 d shown and takes place in a fresh contact zone of the contact 132 . When the contact is complete, the sensing elements 164 are deflected further, so that a further grinding effect is brought about. This is shown in Figure 8d. As a result of this grinding action, the interface between the sensing elements 164 and the contacts 132 is in an area in which a grinding movement has previously been carried out. As a result of the adjustment, fresh contact surfaces have been used.
After the card 3 has been read, it can be left in the reader until the lever 2 is moved to the right. As a result, the pin 30 engages the left end of the slot 57, so that the eccentric 31 is rotated counterclockwise. The eccentric 31 engages the eccentric surface 52 of the flange 50 so that the pressure plate 40 is pulled to the right and allows the carriage 140 to move to the right under the action of the compression springs 146. All contacts are opened and the card 3 is released by the sensing elements 164 . At the same time, the arm 35 is rotated clockwise until its end engages the part 110 of the locking member 106, so that the latter is pressed down until the end of the arm 35 slides over the control surface 110 and in the position shown in FIG. 2 engages the position shown on the part 112 and is determined by him. The latching member 106 is now in an upper position as a result of the load from the spring 120, so that the device is ready for the insertion of the next card. By moving the operating lever 2, the spring 39 is tensioned again, whereupon the lever 2 is relieved by the spring 62 in the position shown in FIG. 2 is held. At the same time, the links 68 are pulled to the left by the spring 76 after the arm 35 has tweeted each other until it attacks the stance 74. In the process, the control slide 90 is moved back into the position shown in FIG. 2, the slide 140 being moved a little upwards.
The device is now ready to read another card.
In the above-mentioned possibility of working in normally closed operation, the springs 146 would have to be designed as tension springs which attempt to move the carriage 140 and the plate 124 to the left, an actuating plate moving the card in such a way that the sensing elements 164 from the contacts 132 the plate 124 are lifted off.
