Bei den bekannten Ventilen für Kraft- und Arbeitsmaschinen ist die Ventilspindel auf einer Seite des Ventilkörpers nach außen geführt und hier durch eine Stopfbüchse abgedichtet. Wird bei dieser Bauart die Ventilspindel statt dessen durch eine biegsame Platte abgedichtet, so ergibt sich der Nachteil, daß der ganze auf die biegsame Platte ausgeübte Druck einseitig von der Ventilspindel aufgenommen werden muß und auf die Ventilsteuerung übertragen wird.In the known valves for engines and machines, the valve spindle is open one side of the valve body outwards and sealed here by a stuffing box.
